I just tried it. I have no problems on my end.
So even if I get errors when creating a lobby I shouldn't assume I have some error preventing me from doing coop, people are just not playing it anymore (especially on low levels?)
If you don't get a specific system error, I think the problem isn't due to your machine.

Each room you are trying to join has the words "optimal" on the side. If it is highlighted it means there is currently parties in there fighting that difficulty of monster. Doesn't mean others aren't trying to load on ones that are not highlighted.
Once you get a party formed most of the time people stay, don't give up on searching. Had well over 2500 coop sessions so far. Maxed out the weekly every time
This week they had Shiva and Bahamut. Heavily populated so the lessor 3 were not as active. People tend to flock to where they are progress wise. Since monday I have maxed out Reno at 100 fights and still currently doing Tamb and Lin. People are active
