I hate what they've done to FFBE because I've played it every day almost since its release (I gave up on that game a long time ago), but I'm surprised they're still keeping it alive.
Or a monthly sub which makes the game playable in normal way - like with a sub you have unlimited Stamina, 2-3 times bigger XP etc gains etc.
Game can be turned around with a weeks worth of work - of course within a company who thinks and not the clown show which is SE.
Ever Crisis didnt rank very high on the list of gacha game revenues, but it listed high enough to keep it going. And if they get smart with their pricing and designs, it can get better
MORE AWESOME ♥♥♥♥, MODERATELY LESS EXPENSIVE PLEASE
----------
Exvius got too big to shutdown now thats its got its own FF-free lore and lots of plotlines between story and events.
Whats more likely is it'll be turned into a degachafied version of the game. No more arena, some events become subquests, FF units all obtainable from a using gameplay points or coins, upgrade material demands drastically lowered or set to 0 (so people dont need to endlessly farm anymore), save data stored only locally.
Not easy doing this as a forced update, but given SE has the save data separate from BE's app, it could release a separate game with all the changes already made and just allow you to bring your compatible progression/unlocks into it as a one-way conversion before the gacha version gets delisted.
Unfortunately this is SE we are talking about - leave your common sense behind and shut the door firmly. NO way they will ever do something which is pro-customer or sensible.
Yes I have been given lots of feedback to alternative idea to "season pass" in 3 different (Standard/Premium/Ultimate) and farm materials to craft unlock gear/ weapons instead use too much gacha things, which like I really enjoy with The First Solider, they do unlock gear, skin, varies things for your avatar. In discord isn't help at all with Feedback. Lots of people offer other idea. They now added stimata through blue crystal/red crystal to buy it. It's really low number. well...
They have explicitly stated Ever Crisis will have the enitre Compilation of FFVII, including Before Crisis, Advent Children, and Dirge of Cerberus on top of FFVII, Crisis Core, and First SOLDIER. This isn't new or unknown information. It's fact.
Far from complete shutdown with delisting, it suggests they want their 'gumiverse' persisting so it can be leveraged in other games like WOTV - maybe even licencing their own characters for collab inclusion in other games like how SE did with its own FF characters.
A declaration of intent is meaningless if its not fulfilled. You should be familiar with this roadmap carrot strategy as a gacha player.
EOS is not always done due to failures but often to relaunch a codebase once its in a good state, like reskinned for a 'different' game. Its super common in china and korea where its sometimes used to go discretely go live with a prototype whose improvements get brought to the bigger markests afterwards - 'copycats' are not always clones.
as of right now, they have Boost Pass, Solider Pass and recently added Stamina Pass that's spilit up all 3 and they have bunch of scheme daily, memories, special and event special from quest, level , materia so forth whenever you unlock level 40 they pop up to say buy this and this until you hit lvl 50, pop up buy this then this too excessive microtraction. which why I suggest ideea 3 tier of season pass bundle. If you had discord, you able view feedback lots of players had different idea to share.
No blame Greed and Online Only Games. All of these issue where already present before the new Regulations where even talked about. The issue is the Systems, not Laws being put into place because of them.
