Forza Horizon 6

Forza Horizon 6

View Stats:
Wont Go pass 60+ FPS no matter the settings
TLDR; FH6 will not go pass 60+fpS on lower video settings.

PC Spec:
I9-13900k
64gb RAM 6000MHZ
RTX 3090
Monitor 5120x1440 (Samsung Odyssey G9)

With that In mind, I set all the settings my self prior to playing the game with no DLSS/upscaling on Med to high settings. I was getting at most 47 FPS... so i set the game to low and still will not go about 47 FPS. Why is this? I check all settings and made sure the game is not FPS cap or my monitor is not FPS caped as well. So i did what anyone would, I ran the In game benchmark sure enough it wont go pass 47 FPS. So i reverted the In game Video settings and to recommend which is Ultra settings and that boost my FPS to 57 FPS AVG. Can anyone suggest a fix? playing this game with less than 60 fps is not ideal for me.

Thanks In advance

I have the Same Problem...sorry that i cant Help...7800x3d, 9070xt 5120x1440
If you have a screen that wide...I am not surprised. way more pixels to draw than normal resolutions.
My GPU and CPU are Not fully used by the Game. It sits at around 90 percent. So it should get more fps
3090 is not a 4k card in 2026. if you want to run modern games at 4k and 60+ fps you need 5080 or higher.

Thats not true at all.

I play in 4k with RT+ extreme settings and get 75-100 fps with a RTX 4080 Super.

Set nVidia Reflex settings ingame to ON + BOOST.
This game really is acting strange, I've got an old GTX 1080ti, and when the game actually works I get above 60fps most the time, even on high, though I lowered my resolution to basically 1080p in hopes of reducing the constant crashing of the game, so that did help with the FPS, but still... an RTX card with all of the fancy doodads that come with the RTX, should be reaching higher FPS... so must be some setting that's buggering it.

Check if Vsync is turned off (needs to be off to uncap framerate)
Other solution is, in the Nvidia app, check for Graphics --> global settings --> Max Frame Rate --> Off

Hope this helps

I have tried to setting my screen resolution to 2560x1440. it did not help, i might think it is a GPU or windows issue.

I know is not a 4k card. I planed to play this game at Medium to high settings. this should net me at least 60FPS
Thanks for all the responds guys. I appreciate it. I got it to fix, I am able to play at ultimate with 60+ fps.

The fix i had done was uninstalling the GPU drivers and all other NVIDIA drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU). No idea why this works. I hope if anyone here having the same issue try it. If help is needed, there are youtube videos on hot to use DDU
Driver reinstall fixed it- for all of twenty minutes. If anyone figures out a permanent fix please share
Okay- back with more.

Turned off resizable BAR in bios. Still occurred.

Ran into a reddit thread claiming BT wireless controllers were causing this issue. Sure enough, I popped the battery out of mine and my frames shot up from 30 to 100 instantly. So, not sure if the resizable BAR had anything to do with it, but if you're using a wireless controller that might be it.
I get like 8i0-120fps everything maxxed out.
