Invisible car
So, I tried to change cars after a race, and from then on, whichever car I changed to became invisible. Tried verify files, uninstall and install the game.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

I did not get long to play this game this morning as I had all kinds of issues getting the game to install even though I had 305 GB free on the SSD (Steam says the game needs 167 GB and the download is 139 GB but it still ran out of space requiring me to move some games to another drive, for whatever reason, in order for it to progress past 97%!).

Anyway, when the game did start and I choose my starting vehicle, I was greeted with an invisible car with only the square shadow visible beneath it! At that point I called it day and decided to leave it until later as I had to go to work.

I have an RTX 4080 and the latest 596.49 graphics drivers were installed. The game, however, is installed to a 2 TB SATA3 Crucial BX500 SSD and I'm wondering if that might perhaps not be fast enough for the game's streaming system? The specs only state an SSD and not NVMe though. It might also explain the stutters I was seeing during the initial game intro (not the ones where the game transitions between gameplay and FMV), something I never experienced with Forza Horizon 5, which is also installed to a SATA3 SSD albeit it not the same one as this game.

Well, I'm using rtx4070 super with 569.49 drivers, game installed in M.2(still got 400+gb extra space). Mine happened after few hours of gameplay. It feels like paying extra for beta testing the game.:MHRISE_anger::MHRISE_anger:
i have the same issue with rtx 5090 with latest drivers
Found a fix from reddit. If you are wearing pleated skirt, then you need to change it as it is listed as problematic item. Fixed it by changing to other skirt/pants and change your car again then FIXED.

Savior! This information must be spread!
I cannot believe that because I wanted to make my character look hot it broke my game. :steamsalty:
That is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy correlation. How and why would a cosmetic item that you break rendering so bad lmao
I hope this gets fixed, pleated skirts are my favourite skirts.
It's called a drag race for a reason.
