Syncing between console and pc

Sorry to ask this here since this has nothing to do with Steam. It's just that I'm used to this forum and hope that someone can help me here.

Anyway, it's like this: I bought the game on my Xbox S. Played for several hours there and got to like level 105+.

Yesterday I decided to try it out on my PC also. I checked if there were cross-saves and "play anywhere" enabled and such, and it seems to have all that is necessary to switch between console and PC.

So, using the Xbox app on my PC, logged in with the same account, I downloaded and started the game.
To my confusion I had to do the introduction and 'tutorial' of sorts first, thinking that maybe it was required and that my saves would sync after this. I didn't do it all though and got tired of the introduction real quick and went to see how I can sync my saves.

Now when I start the game on my Xbox again, I get to choose between two save files, the local one where I'm level 100 something, or the cloud one where I'm level 1. So of course I choose the high level one. All good there.

Now, let's say I closed the game down on my Xbox at 10:30, then went back to my PC to see when the cloud sync was, and it said 10:25. A second after that it updated to latest sync was 10:30.
Ah, great, I thought, now it must have the latest save. So I started the game on my PC again, and once again I was at the tutorial, as a level 1.

So please. How can I make my PC get the save from my Xbox? Anyone that can help me with this?
