Wii U Pro Controller?
Will a Wii U Pro controller works on this before I buy this game? Using a keyboard and mouse will feel odd by the way this game looks.

I like the design though... kind of a blast to the past where game plays were just great despite of the pixels.

You only use 3 buttons plus arrow keys. No mouse.
Yeah I tried using a Wii U gamepad for PC and the current software to convert it to Xinput sucks and won't let you use all buttons or even the screen as a monitor. I want there to be better versions of the software

Just get a wired xbox 360 controler save you problem. Also dev generally use this controller when they program it on PC

Is the wired xbox 360 controller different from a dpad? I have seen at Microsoft store something about an xbox 360 with dpad. Search the Internet but no luck on as to what a dpad is.

The Dpad (directional pad) is the cross shaped thing below the left thumbstick bro. All 360 controllers have them.

There's a special version of hte 360 controller that has a ...convertable...weirdo dpad, but it's hardly any better. Plus this game sort of wants you to use the sticks by default, and the dead zones are calibrated in such a way that it's totally sufficicent.

Anyold 360 controller will do you bro. Just avoid the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ knockoff ones. get a real one for like 35 bucks.

or you could be a baller and get a super nintendo controller with usb, that'd work too.

Thanks for the advice.

Just gonna say, you won't need Xinput because this game doesn't use it. If you've already gotten the buttons to work in other computer games you're good to go.

Get this guy: http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Wii-Pro-Controller-Adapter/dp/B00E6553PW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420961398&sr=8-1&keywords=wii+u+pro+mayflash . It's awesome, it can read your Wii U Pro controller as either an Xbox 360 controller or not. I use it for Freedom Planet, and it works great.
