Lilac or Sash Lilac?

Stupid question, but i read somewhere that they changed her name mid development, and its been bugging me for the last 15 minutes.

She's still Sash Lilac, but everyone just calls her Lilac (like with Carol Tea)

The first one. And aside from wiki and everything they call her and Carol by their full names once in game (Before "Jade Creek" level, that Panda girl, when she's succesfully blamed the team)

Well despiting the fact that her full name is Sash Lilac i think the devs "changed" the name to Lilac the Dragon or Lilac the Waterdragon it´s an way better name to remember then an "all-on-the-world-name".

Or maybe the devs itself didn´t liked Sash Lilac at all in the end an cuted it to Lilac after all and just mentioned it in the Scene after Sky Battalion to show at least that the Chars have an fullname.

Character name hasn't changed. It's Sash Lilac. Lilac is her personal name. Sash is a family name. The game is based heavily in Chinese culture and when addressing someone over there, family name comes first. It actually goes Surname ---> Honorifics ---> Given Name.

Nothing was cut, Lilac is simply the given name. Friends usually don't see a need to call you by your surname.

why for Lilac the family name is first.

Not confusing at all. Sash Lilac is a chinese water dragon, naming convention preserved, Carol Tea is a more western character and Brevon is an alien.

Yes, the artist is Chinese. But why would that automatically make the characters Chinese?
