Switch version updated?

I don't know if I can get some info on this, but I got a notification on my switch that Freedom Planet updated. The current build is v1.21.5.
As far as I can tell, GalaxyTrail twitter didn't say anything about the update so I'm just wondering if the devs can inform of what the said update is for? Thanks.

As far as I know that's the most recent version and it's been that way since late October, 2019.

The only thing I've noticed from this update is that I can now access the digital version of the game again. Once I had put the Limited Run physical release into my Switch, I was locked out of the digital copy. I had to have the cartridge in to play the game, no other title on the Switch had that issue. Perhaps this was just a sort of technical "under-the-hood" update on Nintendo's end.

That seems to be the most likely thing. Still it was odd of an update out of nowhere.

From what I can see, that's the most likely. The game was probably given a matching ID so that there was no confusion for the system?

That's likely it. We simply won't know for sure though.
