Eh, the long story is that we originally made Freedom Planet as a Sonic Fan Game, but went our own way. With the sequel we're taking that unique step forward, one major part of that is removing the Sonic Aesthetic from the game's characters and making them more in line with our own unique style.

It may seem jarring at first, but trust me, it'll grow on you. Especially when you finally get to see what it allows us to do with our characters.

I gotta admit that the character redesigns are looking pretty good in FP2 especially with Lilac, Milla and Carol to create a feeling that they've grown older and learned a lot from their experiences alongside with the other redesigns.

Man Lilac looks good in that game. Also, why do I have a feeling that Spade is going to be even edgier in the next game?

Hello, I am a fellow person who doesn't like redesigns in the second freakin' game.
I have now completed writing a post about all the positives and negatives I see in the current FP2 demo when compared with FP1. I'll try to keep things fair, but it may be a little discouraging. Which forum should I post this in?

Also, Seraphna, I'm very sorry that I've argued so much. This one post, containing all of my opinions and nothing you'd call a "rumor", no mention of story, etc. would hopefully be the last time I let it out. At this point, I can't change this game, I just want to let you know that... well, at least I have this opinion. I imagine, considering I'm a human being and not some alien from another world, that other people might share my opinions. It looks like we have at least two.
You have to remember, simply the group you find talking in the forums on Steam is not everyone. When the game comes out you'll likely have a lot more people buying and reviewing it. Now the praise/hate ratio on every one of the game's differences could be anything-- I can't tell you there'll be scores of people like me who actually don't like the redesigns.

Okay, look, you can call me the 1% if you want. I'm not going to talk numbers.
I've heard a lot of people talking about "getting used to" the redesigns.
I don't want to just "get used to" redesigns. If they're going to exist, they should be something we can appreciate, not "get used to".
Now maybe I'm just babbling like a maniac here. I can and probably will enjoy Freedom Planet 2. But what I'm trying to say is that just because a game is good, that does not mean it is flawless. I am trying to give feedback on what I personally don't like, because I'm a real human just like any of you who can praise the redesigns or just "get used to" them. I am not just going to shut up, I will stand my ground, because I think that GalaxyTrail should hear both sides of the argument, even the ones they disagree with.

Since Seraphna's probably decided I shouldn't be responded to, I think I'll just go with the gut and post the... rant, we'll call it, on these forums. Don't wanna be a huge pain in the butt for all this FP2 hype.
