massive FPS loss when trying to play this
Hello, I'm looking for some help as to why this game isn't running properly on my system, even though my systems specs should be well above the minimum requirements to run this with no problems. I get a massive drop in FPS when trying to play to the point the game basically runs in slow motion and becomes pretty much unplayable. These are my system specs for my new laptop:

Operating System
Windows 10 Home 64-bit

CPU
Intel Core i5 @ 2.50GHz 55 °C
Kaby Lake 14nm Technology

RAM
8.00GB Single-Channel Unknown @ 1196MHz (17-17-17-39)

Motherboard
Dell Inc. 0TXG2N (U3E1)

Graphics
SANYO LCD (1920x1080@60Hz)
Generic PnP Monitor (1920x1080@60Hz)
Intel HD Graphics 630 (Dell)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (Dell) 50 °C
ForceWare version: 384.77
SLI Disabled

Storage
931GB TOSHIBA MQ02ABD100H (SATA) 29 °C
232GB SABRENT SCSI Disk Device (SSD) 24 °C

Optical Drives
No optical disk drives detected

Audio
NVIDIA High Definition Audio

Any help would be appreciated as I'm sure it may help other games run better as well.

Make sure the game is actually using your GTX, and not the on board graphics card. This is often an issue with Intel HD graphics on boarding taking over, our game normally runs on toasters, but Intel HD cards have this special level of failure.

I've actually set my GTX as my systems main GPU for all programs under my Nvidia global settings, as well as tried manually doing it via the control menu when right clicking the the application itself. Neither has had success with running the game smoothly at all, which is why I'm baffled as this game should run just fine with my card as you said. Is there any other setting you can think of that would cause this? I have a full dxdiag file with my system settings if you think that would help, but I don't think I'd be able to post the whole thing here.

I would not even install or disable the intel graphics driver. That way it hopefully (not sure) will not interfere. Since you already have a discreet video card, no need for the intel one to even work.

You may also be able to disable the intel video from the motherboard BIOS.

Not sure how your system works (I build my own systems...), so take my recommendations at your own risk. :)

I can attest to that - I have an eleven-year-old laptop that runs FP with only minor freezes when it loads the next music track (which usually is in a screen transition so you don't notice)

somewhat, last time I played it the game kinda smoothed out on it's own with occasional dips in fps. haven't played in in sometime since though
