I am personally quite excited about the new game and collected a few questions and wishes from my viewers during one of my HS2 live streams. I want to mix that with my own input, maybe you can address some of it in one of the next update posts.
Is there already some kind of trend when we can expect the game this year?
Will there be an opportunity to test the game before release, a public beta or a demo version for example?
Will the legendary animals system from HS2 make a comeback, or is there a new system for rare specimens?
What new animal species will HS3 include?
Will we get scopes with adjustable zoom and weapon calibration with zeroing for effective long-range shooting this time?
Is a small-caliber rifle planned to make hunting hares and rabbits a little less frustrating, or will it remain limited to bows/crossbows and shotguns?
How will long-term support with updates, new maps & animals and bug fixes be handled to keep the game interesting?
We overall hope for many improvements compared to the second part of the series, especially in the ballistic characteristics of the weapons there is plenty of room for improvement.
Thanks in advance for forwarding this, maybe you can comment on a few points.
Hello Thund3r,
First, thank you for your interest on HS3! If you want to chat with the community, you're also welcome on discord :)
I can answer some questions now, others will be revealed throught the coming months, until the release.
- We will run some public playtests or demo before the release.
- About the legendary animals system and new species, we will talk about that in the coming months, in the Steam News.
- You will get scopes with adjustable zoom and weapon calibration.
- A small caliber for hunting hares and rabbits is indeed planned.
- We plan to support the game throughout its launch and beyond. We plan to have more to say about this at the time of release, with a FAQ and roadmap.
We hope to meet your expectations regarding the ballistic characteristics of the weapons.
