how to change counter color without using editor?

Well if you mean number images you may want to mess with:
- Effect / Set RGB coefficient

For text counter it's under:
- Text / Set text color

and for bar counters there is:
- Bars / Set color
- Bars / Set color # 2

These are all actions that can be changed at runtime and at edit time ofc
