Steam Deck?
Has anyone tried this on the steam deck, and if so, does it work?

In the report bugs & suggestions pinned thread two people have claimed issues. One said it was unplayable & wouldn’t start up & another person said they didn’t have that problem, but had other issues.
As a deck user I’m personally holding off until the dev says it’s fully deck playable & fixed.

I've tested the latest patch on the Steam Deck and am having no issues, and did not need to use any special compatibility layers. Unfortunately this is just me and I don't have a team of Steam Deck testers, but it seems to have no trouble here!

Thanks for the update, sounds great! Will likely buy it soon then.

No probs on my Deck. Be aware that the people who gripe loudest and first on the Steam boards are...well...people I would not trust to change my oil.

That being said, it's almost never a bad idea to wait until a game has been released in the wild for a few months. I think I've bought 4 games on release day, and regret 3 of them. :sad_seagull:

Hey can you guys help me, how do I get past the "acknowledge thoughts" Mini game? I can't seem to figure it out on the steam deck.

Note: I'm having an issue on Steam Deck. After your self-therapy/party with the Germans and your night in the coffin, the red curtains close and the screen turns black (like previous scene transitions)... but the game hard-freezes there. Screen remains black; no buttons work, STEAM button unresponsive; only way to recover is a hard power cycle. I encountered this three times in a row, so it's reproducible.

Confirmed: It appears that my bug was likely because I was using Compatibility Mode: Proton Experimental. I turned off forced compatability (returning to "Vanilla") and the issue doesn't seem to happen anymore. I'm still very early in the game, mind you (self-therapy session).

Just had the same issue as you, not really sure how that one is supposed to work (I tried getting through it while playing on an Xbox controller with my steam deck hooked up to my tv)

Starts and runs without problems for me on an original steam deck. the main issue is the controls: clicking on the cognitive distortions or during the meditation minigame don't work with the built-in controller or a bluetooth one, as if you had another window in focus. touchscreen is marginally better and only bungles the first cognitive distortion selection per gaming session (seemingly the click registers where the virtual cursor last might have been, not where you clicked).

The gamepad controls are very buggy. If you use mouse controls instead, works very well. Put 30 FPS limit to save battery and Very low Graphics settings. Do they do anything anyway?

Overall Steam Deck is fine.
