On a related subject I am also having the same problem with the Upheaval mod for Red Alert 3. It is in the right place but the uprising units are just not there.
I suspect that these 2 issues are related to the same problem; the game just isn't accepting or even registering any additions or mod changes.
Solution to add a custom maps folder and access them in Skirmish Mode for 2024:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Red Alert 3 Uprising\
After this, any custom map folder (not individual map files) you add to "C:\Users\*User Name*\AppData\Roaming\Red Alert 3 Uprising\Maps" should appear in the Skirmish Mode map selection
not in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising\maps\"
if so, use this path to fix it. then all maps is put in a folder named maps inside the redalert 3 uprising game folder..
After trying to make sure all folders are good.. delete skirmish.ini, tried running as admin.. this works!
Note that mine actually did create a Electronic Arts registery.. but it did it on a different treebranch outside of where this thread said. (wasnt in Wow6432Node)..
I had to create 2x Electronic Arts files (key), then Red Alert 3 Uprising, then followed the rest on this thread :)
