Command & Conquer™ Red Alert™ 3 - Uprising

So difficult
I just started the game, and i'm playing campaign on medium difficulty and it's so hard. I have to re-due missions over and over, it's beginning to not be fun. Anyone else find it like this?

Do you have any experience playing Command & Conquer games? I suggest you to try Red Alert 3 before playing the expansion...

Uprising is not difficult if you know what to do.

No it's my first time. I bought this one on sale, so i only have this one. I played the tutorial last night and it helped a little bit.

Maybe i should play it on easy? I hate going the easy route though. I play most my games on hard or medium at least. The big problem i'm having on the 3rd mission is getting my whole base nuked by the blue teams special ability, and i then it destroys all my buildings.

I've only done the challenges in uprising so far and those can be really difficult also. Just gotta practice and lookup guides.

What difficulty did you do the missions on?

I beat the Soviet campaign on medium without retrying mainly because I played Soviets a lot. You should play the original game and get used to the factions first.
I had a bit of trouble in the japan and yuriko campaign because I have less experience in that faction.

Again, if it wasn't for the proton collider destroying my whole base i wouldn't have a problem on medium. Anyway to avoid special ability from the opposing team?

Proton Collider? Which level we talking about? Is it the one with the soviet one where you start on the bottom left? In that level you could just destroy it because it's not defended at all. I believe I used some twinblades and mig escorts to do that.

Edit: Yep, just tried. It did not appear right away in my game so it was pretty easy to destroy. Try to use a twinblade with an engineer and capture it. Engineer capture the building right away and sell it for $2500.

Japan is very easy too. First level you just destroy both bridges and just build gunship. Second level is pretty cool also, you build 4 miners and place the 2 miners to the most right and one on your first island. Third japan is the easiest of all, you just steal soviet base with engineer and then prepare your engineers for the usa base also. Their kirovs are a joke and I would spend some hours on that map expanding. But you can complete it in 30 minutes.

Lemme know which one is hard

oh and, welcome to the party

I played a lot of time, and finished campaings many times on all difficulties - it's not dificult at all, if you play many times. By the way - all levels can be complited by different ways, and only difficult moment - you have all buildings and units unlocked at very start for all missions except first soviets mission - this confuse a newbie player. Not know what to do with all of that. This way - the best way - play thru original Red Alert 3 at first. But if you don't have it - play at easy difficulty. Computer player less agressive and use turtle tactic. When you be ready - play on next difficulty settings... and hard is more fun!
Challenges - I not finished them all yet, but - try to play each mission with different side of conflict to learn a more interesting moves and tactics.
Challenges allways plays on medium difficulty. And difficulties start then you play vs 3-5 enemies because - you can't do a alliance with CPU player...

Thanks for the in depth response. I'm not sure where the proton collider was to destroy it, but i just ended up starting the mission on easy and i beat it. Where was the proton collider though? was in the main base? That thing blew me up good

We are talking about the soviet missions right? The one with kirovs falling down. If yes then the proton collider is located in the middle of the map near your first objective just right below white enemy main base.

In skirmish missions, basically, you must seek and destroy all the enemies' construction yards as soon as you can. Then, check if the enemy still have MCV's construction buildings and destroy them too. The sooner you neutralize all the enemy forces, the higher the chances to succeed on the missions. You must manage to accomplish this while expanding your domain on the battlefield.

I did afterwards. It only helped a little bit. It's really vague.
