Game crash to desktop upon launch

How do I get this game to run? I have played in the past and had no issues. No that I redownloaded, it will not launch.

Lets start with your system stats? Current drivers etc?

How long ago in the past? Near release last May, or since 0.2? Is it showing any error about AVX2 support when it crashes?

If you're unsure of your system hardware you can go to the menu at the top of the main Steam window and select Help > System Information and copy and paste from there.

I played this game when the new night ops update came out and it loaded in fine. Then I tried again a few weeks later after another update for night ops and now the game refuses to launch at all. Just says it's constantly launching on steam but never pulls up. Tried turning off antivirus, running as administrator, etc... with no luck so far. My PC exceeds the requirements so that's not the issue either. Drivers are up to date and I play many other games running UE5 and they all launch perfectly. Can't seem to pin down the issue yet. If we have to run out of date drivers or some other weird fix to launch the game, I'd rather just wait till the issues get resolved before coming back to the game. If anyone finds a fix for them, please keep us updated :)

Make sure to go through the Crashing sticky post and see if resetting some files and shader cache will help. If you have an nvidia GPU, nvidia controls the shader cache and doesn't provide an easy way to reset it at the moment. I know there were some potential issues with past nvidia drivers for some people, but the current 566.36 seems to function well.

It's possible there is something funky going on EAC as well and maybe not notifying you properly? Check out one of my previous posts and try to force a reset on it to see if that will fix something. I had issues with EAC and the Windows 24h2 update that this helped with.

Since you were able to play recently and it may not be purely hardware related, if the above doesn't work then I would suggest looking through the Discord community tech support channels for more suggestions, or starting a thread there if needed. You can also open a ticket with MFG support, as it may be something potentially blocking they will want to look into.

Found the fix, mine was an antivirus issue with EAC, thank you very much for your help!
