Cpu in base camp is at 85-90%, moving an inch immediately gave a spike to 100% CPU usage. In all other games, even the most demanding of late, a max of 40-50% is experienced.
Anywhere else on the map, 100% CPU usage is experienced, raising temperatures for me to 81°C. My CPU is liquid cooled, normally never exceeding 60°C in any other game.
It is another example of the bad, amateuristic coding they have no answer for since this issue was already reported since day 1, even by owners of high tier setups.
Their answer: undervolt.
No devs, YOU have to come up with better coding.
OTOH, you mention the overheating, but what setting are you using? You've probably heard that the FSR Framegen is causing a lot of people to crash frequently. Have you tried DLSS or TSR? Also, try lowering game resolution a bit and see if that helps throttle things.
Otherwise, it might just be you need better cooling on the system. Are you getting UE5 Engine crashes, or just random CTD?
All things that would help overloading the cPU.
I run a 13600k with a 4080 for ref with a Msi Z790 Edge wifi. Bios not updated to the last version. Now everything works fine
This will prevent the PC Shutdown on Intel systems, its a known problem with UE5 Engine bringing your CPU to 100% load and heating it up to the point of Safety System shutdown! We have to wait for a fix here.
And no you dont loose a noticeable amount of graphic power while doing so. Can be changed back at anytime loading your BIOS again.
i7 11900k, 3080ti here.
PC Shutdown sometimes with IntelBoost ON (Loading into Game, or flying Heli). But no Problems when its OFF.
Enjoy.
