Voice Chat Stopped working
I've used voip with no problem at all but it stopped working yesterday in the middle of a game and never came back. I can't speak to other and i don't hear them either. (yes both voip settings are activated in game's settings)
I have no problem in other games and discord. When i use the keybind for push to talk, the little mic icon in the bottom right of the screen doesn't show up anymore. I've tryed do bind it to another key or to reset default settings, none have worked. I've disabled every other audio device in the windows control pannel, but it didn't change anything. I've also tried reinstalling the game, check integrity, tested my mic in steam and windows and everything seems ok except in Grayzone, If anyone find a fix...
And sorry for my not so good english, it's not my native langage

Hi Seth, I am experiencing the exact same issue and for a few weeks now. My mic used to work in the game from the launch until a couple of weeks. Now, I have no mic icon and I can't hear people. I have checked every possible settings and disabled any other mic inputs in my audio panel in Windows and it's still not working. Some days out of the blue, it starts working again for a day and then stopped again. A few times I was able to make it work until I switch my PC off, by opening Discord and activate the mic test in the VOIP configuration panel. I also open the Steam VOIP configuration panel and open the mic test session as well. Only then, I open the game and as the blue mic icon is open in the windows task bar, I believe it help GZW to identify that there is an active microphone. This is being driving nuts for the last 2 weeks and after having investigating, the issue with GZW server or application failing to identify an active microphone. I am hoping that they have identified the issue and will fix it eventually. Good luck and please let me know if you hear anything useful on this issue and I will do the same.

Are you using separate headphone/speakers and microphone? That seems to be the biggest problem for many people since the game doesn't have a way to specify sound system input and output separately.

There was another post a while back highlighting a similar issue, I believe they resolved it in steam as an update or something had changed the steam mic/input/output settings

Thanks a lot, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for me. It's not gamebreaking but tbh it takes a bit of the fun when playing without friends

You could be right, my mic started working again and has been for nearly a week now! I haven't made any changes so they must have fixed it somehow.

Same for me, it's working again
Yeah similar thing happened to me in PUBG, never figured out what is goign on with that game, cant use mic at all. In the menu I can test it and it shows its workign fine but jsut doesnt work.

Could it be you have different devices connected to your PC that have mic and output options ? e.g. a VR headset, and the game has decided that is what you want to use in game ? could be worth some testing if thats the case.

this stuff isprobably controlled in the config settings in
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\GZW\Saved\Config\WindowsClient
