i made a post about how missions should not be locked behind RNG & got shot down by a few

the responses "just ask in chat - or just go & see if door unlocked" - yep great rewarding gameplay right there

It should not be thing & is just lazy game design IMO

breaks any kind of immersion or sense of progress

3,5h are rookie numbers :D
joke aside, its hard to get. Tried way more hours to get Fanny Paradise key.
It shouldnt be like that for Mission keys, but i dont mind for Value keys tbh.
A little grind is always a good :)
People are really struggling with this key lol, luckily I found 2 in my time playing so far without grinding (although after I already visited the place for the quest before I got one lol).
Got both from the Ambushed UNLRA convoy, and I think someone else said they got one form the radio tower (NW of the ambushed convoy). Heading to those places as well as Ban Khamphet (?) might be worth it to hit more AI in one run if you aren't doing that already.
Good luck :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:
They should stick with keys being spawned in the world and not on AI. Therefor you go to the spots the key could spawn. And if you been there you would know for sure that it is not worth looking for longer.

Or they could just do what EFT promised years ago and give us the ability (with a special) to lockpick the door. Or breach it with a gun if it’s a wooden door.

Lets be real here. Most of the looked doors are wooden doors that would not survive a proper kick to the keyhole. They should not keep you from entering.

There are too few enemies to loot, so we have spend much more tries to get key.

I have the key if you need the door open, I am on Mithras
The key is hard to get because it has an equipment box in the room that has some pretty good things (Even the NVG's you get in the supporter edition.) Took me around 5 hours of clearing 3 different points to get it.

I get it its just annoying I've spent 3 days running this. (Add a couple more hours at least with this quest) I didn't know about the convoy till very late so I'm gonna run that alot more. It was spawning nods like mad

oh I guess you never played 0.1 when every key was tied to a drop and the drop rate was non existent people used to sit at the very first quests looking for NT Attic key ... yes its still as horrible as it ever was they should rly switch up to putting keys around somewhere or adding lock pads like they started doing in 0.3 where u find the code somewhere and the code changes periodicly
the key is rare because there are some goodies inside that room, I'm not defending the practice of keys on drops but they do need some reason to frequent these POI more than once as well.

Its random, came across the location unlocking LZ's and pursuing another mission and we picked up the key first try. its a dumb and lazy mechanic that they could adjust by placing the key as part of a mission task and have it as a guaranteed spawn on a enemy or location like UN intel folders do, no reason it cant be both can randomly be on AI near the location or if it isn't there's a location it maybe located at.
