You can buy an MP5 from Banshee. They start at $2k.
What level?
I'm not sure. It's been a while since I unlocked any vendors.
Instead of MP5 since devs are mostly from Czech, adding CZ scorpion EVO 3 A1 seems to be appropriate, I like that gun's aesthetic. Maybe some gun that used in the Vietnam war era like ppsh, MAT-49, M3A1, MAC-10 and UZI is also fitting.
The game should add more PDW, which is also SMG but better. Like P90, P50, AR-57 or SR-2.
Although adding more variety to gun is fine, 9mm don't have the stopping power that is worth using in the late game. I have thought of the idea instead of giving starter town goons using SKS or AKs with soft point ammo which has no penetration power but is devastating hitting in any part of the torso, the goons should use more pistol caliber weapon, as very likely the police station is where they got their guns. Also rework of ai npc's health system can help, this game's goons can eat more 9mm than the Half-Life's alien grunts which are meant to be a disposable bionic super soldier in interdimensional war.
in EFT, the smg's high firerate chew thru armour quickly and have sufficient flesh dmg for overall decent time to kill in cqb
Fortified villa on the outer West side of the town usually has one in the lootbox on the ground floor. Also the commander office in Market place usually has one, for this one you don't even need they key, go out onto the roof on the south side & go around the back of the building and get in that way.
im talking about the "easy" way...not get killed more then 10 times at market or villa.
There's a corner piece on the backside wall of the Fortified Villa that allows you to climb over it and into the backyard. Via that you are no longer in the open like you are on the street and from that main entrance the enemy advantage of higher ground and foliage as cover disappears. I've found this way in and out to be quick & easy with 4 kills in CQB style and the lootboxes are yours.
Market is another story, can be done if you don't rush it and don't let yourself get cornered. I like the challenge but different tastes for different people.
