[MP5] Is it bugged? or is it still being tuned?
Did a short search but didn't find much in the way of MP5 discussion. Apologies if there was a thread I did indeed miss. Anyway, onto business...

We're not going to talk about my adventures with an ACOG on an MP5, it was meme when I did it, lol. However, after stripping it down to iron-sights it got a whole lot better except now I truly understand why I could never recover my body/gear with just a pistol of 9mm. I'm only in NT with the Mithras (this season) so the AI aren't really using in the way of armor, I turned a bad corner and had an AI about 2-car-lengths ahead of me. Emptied all 30 to the point of reload. Yes, he did collapse just as I began the reload, but not to the gunshots directly. I called my 3 friends over to inspect the body and we all had a good laugh because the holo-image was a literal pin-cushion of hit markers, and he died of blood loss. Mind you there were at somewhere between 15~20 hits on target. My friends and I counted some 3 on arm, 4 on other arm, 3 on leg, the rest various torso up-and-down. Usually a lurker not a poster, I wish I'd screenshotted at the time but we just had a laugh and stayed on-mission.

Context out of the way; Is the MP5 still undergoing balancing? and does this indicate possible greater issue with the 9mm as a whole?

Thanks in advance for the feedback/discussion!

Single shot or Auto? Somehow Auto is bugged right now. I`m using Colt m1911 with AP to reclaim body - works fine, even in FN.

I mean I resorted to hosing in Auto regardless because Semi on a 9mm costs me too much risk and too many bandages... So I guess both? I just hate to see one of my fav guns (IRL) to perform so lackluster.
I run the MP5 in MS and I like it. I prefer the PILAD scope over the acog. Just hit your head shots and the bodies drop with HP ammo. I run it on semi, since you can get quick follow up with minimal recoil. Full auto inside the hotel for quick spray downs in CQB.

At this point I would say everything is still being tuned. I wouldn't be surprised to see more weapon/ammo balance changes in the major updates, and feedback like this is helpful to the devs.

There's ammo penetration charts floating around you can search for, but for 9mm anything below the XP+ is gonna be pretty bad. Then again so is any of the rifle SP ammo for the starting areas. I'd like to think of the MP5 as more of a nighttime weapon that you kit out and sneak around with IR lasers and everything, but even then the devs need to put in more reliable ways to find/buy/loot libra snail ammo.

Yeah, I pretty much figured things are still in an ongoing state. I'm trying to stay actively constructive in several communities for game dev rn, so it all helps lol. I just felt so massacred, ran one night-op with x4 full mags and 350 extra rounds. We all know how the AI like to duck and scream once things pop off for backup, but even near-CQB feels like half-a-mag bump per body. I'll try tweaking it around a bit and see if I can't get it any better, I just assumed standard 9mm in NT would perform better on unarmored targets. (Well, bandana's, rigs, glasses and belts)

I find it generally best to phrase as questions, as you said feedback is helpful and when it's less a concrete "Why this sux" and more informative questioning tends to promote discussion. Moreover adding [MP5] is just a trend I like to help narrow down feedback for the devs. Not sure if damage is calculated from the weapon or the ammo in general, didn't know if it may apply to 9mm as a whole or just the MP5
The MP5 is only good for clearing out the YBL bunker and not much else.
