Screen Flicker since last update
Like the title says since the last update I now get screen flicker at night.

This occurs when using DLSS or FSR with and without frame-gen with a 4090. Before I got no flicker at Night. I have a PG32UCDM OLED and it seems the latest update makes the game use freesync instead or Gsync automatically. I noted that when I go to my monitors VRR setting its showing Freesync being used instead of G sync though G sync is available and working in other titles.

Anyone else have this issue?

It was bad for me too. The only way i fixed it was to fully reinstall drivers using DDU. Or you can probably just clear ALL shader cache from your GPU. I also found after doing this if i changed settings in game, it could start again.

Hi, sorry to hear about your issues. Could you please send a recording of what's happening to our support so we can look at it? https://support.madfingergames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

File integrity check and shader reset fixed that problem for me.

Can you check some settings in the nvidia control panel?

Under Set up G-SYNC, make sure "Enable for full screen mode" is selected. The windowed mode I believe is a legacy thing for when Windows didn't handle borderless windowed mode properly. While there, click on the "Display" menu tab at the top and select "G-SYNC compatible indicator", this will show you in the top right of your screen while running the game if G-SYNC is really enabled or not

Also in 3D settings try turning Vertical Sync On globally, and set a Max Frame Rate to 3-5fps below your monitor's refresh rate. If that's how you currently have it setup, try turning those off for GZW and test with the in game max fps limiter and Reflex enabled.

In general OLED monitors can suffer from VRR flicker when the refresh rate fluctuates too much, especially in dark settings. You can see an example of it about 2/3 of the page down in this review and compare if it's similar to what you're seeing in GZW https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/asus/rog-swift-oled-pg32ucdm

Thanks you but I double checked in case it got reset when I did a fresh driver reinstall with DDU and I forgot to reset them but I aready had all those settings correct. I did turn on the Gsync indicator and it shows that Gsync is indeed running for GZ but still horrible flicker even if I FPS limit myself in the in game menu to 60 FPS.

EDIT: ended up just turning off GSYNC for this one game to stop the flicker, none of the other games I play have this issue and my older PG32UQX monitor never did either but that has a physical GSYNC ultimate chip built into it unlike other monitors and is an HDR1400 LCD so that may be why.

Yea I have a flicker since latest update as well, nothing really changed on my end, so not sure what it would be as of right now, but its annoying to say the least. Have to dig into is some and see what I can figure out with it. I have 2 PC's with different builds running this game, not sure on the other one as of yet, have to give a go tonight and see if it flickers as well.

Have it here too, it's so bad.

Clean install of Nvidia drivers fixed it.

Not in my case did reinstall with DDU and still didnt fix it. Likely I will need to roll back a driver or hope the monitor gets a firmware update like the PG32UDP did.

I have noticed this since yesterday's update as well. I just started a new topic without seeing this one. It's a milli second entire blackscreen. Like a blink. It's obviously a game issue with all these comments.

Yeah, it worked for like 5 minutes then back to terrible flickering.

Took some thread advice and did a file verify via steam, then cleaned up saved Direct X shaders via disk cleanup on my PC. I reset the shaders in game via the graphics tab all the way at the bottom. Restarted the game and no more flicker for the last 5 hours or so. Didn't do anything with drivers etc.. Hope it helps someone else.
