This option limits the amount of hard disk space used for the shader cache.
If your cache size is too small, older shaders will be deleted to make room for new ones.
If the game needs those deleted shaders again, it will have to recreate them, which can result in longer load times or stuttering.
To find this setting: Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings or Global Settings > Shader Cache Size > change size.
For some users, this setting can help, while for others, it makes no difference at all
Have you ever used DDU and Windows safe mode when uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, or do you just use geforce experience or the nvidia app to install over the old ones every time? I feel like you should doublecheck your Nvidia shader cache folder sizes. You may be able to claw back a few GB of drive space by clearing out old unused shader cache files that build up.
There's a few different possible locations you can google, but they should be in the hidden C:\Users\(user)\AppData directory, and inside Local and LocalLow there can be Nvidia folders.
Alternatively just set the shader cache option in the nvidia control panel to disabled, restart your computer, then set it back to 10GB and it should clear everything out. This may not work anymore especially if using the nvidia app
Vibrant so I will probably leave as is for the time being,an wait for optimisation for higher fps,
Thanks for the response I will bear that in mind,
