Still trash?
I was waiting for the update but from the little ive seen coming from the community its not worth reinstalling. Accurate?

Apparently I need to edit it because its the internet... I play Tarkov so this isnt a skill issue im complaining about. Its the objectively bad netcode, performance, hit register, and lack of diverse weapons/customization.

To be honest, just try it out for yourself. The Night Ops update itself is pretty cool and I liked the night time atmosphere of just walking around with flashlights/NVGs. On the downside, the AI is still pretty damn broken! The NPCs still see/shoot through objects, even at long range, and often one tap you out of nowhere (no matter what armor you're wearing). The NPC haivor itself has had a few minor improvements, but the bottom line is that they still act like aimbot gods, which can be very frustrating when you keep getting destroyed for no reason or any logical sense. My game experience was pretty fun in the beginning with the starter village tasks, the NPCs weren't such a nightmare there, but once I got the mid-game locations like YBL-1, everything changed and after getting one tapped 3 times in a row by the same NPC, I just hit Alt+F4´ed and quit this software called “game”. I had quite a lot of fun in about ~7h playtime, but in the end I would have been better off continuing to play STALKER 2 lol
It's your call to take a look into it :-)

Yea im not gonna try it based on your review. Ive played already but my biggest complaint was the heli times and the AI. The fact that the AI are still this garbage is not something im gonna waste a minute on. Thanks for the warning.

The Game still has an identity Crisis IMO.
-Gunplay and shooting is very mediocre. And doesn't feel good.
-There is nothing to loot other than a water bottle and a hat(extreme example).
So if shooting is not fun and looting is not fun, what am I supposed to have fun with early on? Average new player exp will be that they don't know where to go, look for loot that isn't there, and get one shot by AI at night through a bush.

the AI is defently not as bad as before, it got better. Didnt had any issues in the starting area with aimbotting AI, could even sneak past them and they didnt cared.

cant say anything about the heli times since i wasnt in a single full server

By heli times im more so referring to the time it takes to travel. I used to just alt tab cuz it was loud as ♥♥♥♥ and watch youtube it was pretty immersion breaking and lame.

I've had completely the opposite experience.

Played for 6 hours and only actually got hit twice in the entire playtime. Didn't die both times. Plenty of AI unloading on me, they just weren't hitting.

I am a cautious player though. I take my time and relocate as often as I can.

It's no longer loud. Active headsets work and have a toggle in game.

Performance is still absolutely horrendous regardless of your rig or upscaling method. Guess we'll wait for update 2 in 6 more months...

Not regardless of your rig. I get a stable 90-100 fps at 1440p with no upscaling or frame gen.

If you were relying on FSR, it is currently disabled.

There will be no performance fixes.
They have a roadmap announced to 2027+ with come catchy, but meaningless titles.

Probably there will be geforce 50xx or 60xx and 2-3 nm CPUs at that point in time.
Performance issues will solve themselves eventually by simply improvements in computing power.

Improvements in computing power can be made now.

If you are using a 5 year old CPU and GPU, don't expect to be able to play current gen titles.

The current update introduces a lot of new features, as you can see in the changelog (link provided for your convenience).
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2479810/view/4477236002110310413
However, as explained prior to the update’s official release, things may still not be perfect. The developers are working tirelessly to address issues and make improvements. The game engine has been updated to 5.4 for better performance, AI has been improved, key mechanics have been enhanced, and much more has been added.

This is a relatively small team that has managed to deliver numerous fixes, updates, and new content within a relatively short timeframe—especially considering their size.

It’s important to have patience, as the game is still in its early stages and the project has a long way to go. However, as mentioned, the developers are committed to focusing on fixes, improvements, balance adjustments, adding new content, and consistently listening to community feedback.

If you have any suggestions for improvements, feel free to share them in our sub-forum.
