Locker to Loot issue? or is it just me?

So, I grabbed GZW last night, but was stuck with this issue consistently for some reason. I kill someone and when I go to loot them, it gets highlight in red when trying to place it in my inventory.

When I died and went back to get my gear, the same thing happened for some items too. The only way to gather my equipment again was to right click and "equip". Then after finishing up, I went to my base and tried to place the loot I picked up in my locker and I couldn't put anything in there. It kept highlighting the squares in red. Whether it was provisions, health, ammo or weapons.

Anyone else have this issue? or am I doing something wrong?
