Game is EA so expect the odd crash and issue. You will lose kit but you can replace it fairly easily.
Overall I'm having a lot of fun.

I played some PvEvP and it is fun but I'm having more fun in PvE. When you die on PvE it's like a souls game. Your corpse will stay there with everything on it and you have a chance to go retrieve it, if you die again before you do it will disappear an your new corpse will be the only one there.
I enjoy the open world aspect where everybody can go anywhere they want whenever they want, I do enjoy the scenery (jungle type feel). I can't wait to see any map expansions that come into the game and even new areas. Maybe even dangerous wildlife out in the brush.
Compared to lets say Tarkov there is astronomically less stuff to loot, but coming from Tarkov I actually like that. I played Tarkov for many many years and in that game after a successful raid where I kill players, scavs and have bags worth of loot and make it back to my hideout; I usually just will quit out the game cause I'm tired of sitting there spending time sorting through it all. Significantly less time in menus is a plus for me. Sure we could use more to loot now but I hope it never reaches the level of Tarkov.
There is a chopper shortage in game, I feel like each faction should have 6 max choppers out at a time. Cause sometimes you want to RTB and you can't because all choppers are in the air. A couple more would probably solve this problem.
Kinda a long post but if you feel like this game is a type you will like, try it out. However like I said I'd only recommend if you system meets the recommended requirements not the minimum. Some will not like this game, some will love this game. Not everybody likes the same cup of tea and a lot of gamers these days just don't get that.
Yeah, there are ~30k players at this exact moment, a handful of individual's posts does not accurately represent the experience. That said, this is a UE5 game leveraging next-gen features so the real target hardware is going to be pretty high-end for what's currently available. I've tested it on a system with an i7 8700k, 2060, and 32GB ram, albeit low settings. Servers do have some issues during peak hours in your region, but I've personally only had a little bit of lag and a few disconnects.
