PC rebooting while ingame [FIXED]
Hello developers, you're doing a good job so far and I love your game, even though it often crashes my pc.

I often can't play for 10 minutes before the game crashes my entire PC and it simply restarts. So I never get an error message.

The temperatures are all great, I monitor them constantly.
Until a few days ago I had a different setup with a Ryzen 9 5950x, I had no problems there, now I have a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and I have constant crashes.

Here's the rest of the hardware.
Case: Corsair 7000D Airflow
Mainboard: MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk WIFI with the latest Bios 1.90
GPU: RX 7900XT
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000, CL30-36-36-76 EXPO
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 (push pull)
PSU: Corsair Professional Series 2023 HX1000i 1000W
The rest of the hardware shouldn't be relevant to the crashes.

As you can see from the power supply, I have no problem with the power supply (voltage peaks) and the cooling is also oversized, the cpu doesn't get above 70°C

I tuned the CPU with the Curve Optimizer, but it makes no difference whether I use the tuning or not. It's the same with the RAM, it makes no difference whether I use EXPO or not. The system otherwise runs stable, prime95 stable for 24h+, furmark stable, all other games run without problems, I even have no problems with a stream that is encoded via the cpu.
The temperatures of the SSDs and the RAM and VRMs are also very good.

I used the latest graphics card drivers (24.3.1 & 24.4.1) and also the latest chipset driver 6.02.07.2300, Windows 11 Pro was also reinstalled. The game files have also been verified.

I feel like Hotfix03 made things worse.

What source of error did I miss?

I hope you can work with the information =)

That's a PC issue not game. Sounds like hardware or something.

Thats why i wrote that the system is stable in any benchmark for 24h+ and with any other game. I think it is because of the early access.
Other games with UE5 also have no such problems. So i think the reason is the game.
Of course I can't rule out the hardware 100% but since everything else is working it's unlikely.
Even MemTest is stable and fine, so the RAM is not the Problem.

Best I can think beyond hardware issues is the game on your end has a mem leak that is crashing the system.

Thanks for your input, that could be a possibility

You don't mention having tested your PSU. I would suggest you do that. It sounds like a powerdraw issue.

I have the same issue, mine reboots too, and only with this game. I have similar specs (X670E chipset, 7900xtx, 7800x3d), latest drivers etc, temperatures and voltages also have a lot of headroom. Also doesn't matter what combination of in game settings FSR on/off, frame gen on/off, low-epic etc.

Hi, it's good to know that I'm not alone with this problem. And yes, you are right, it makes no difference what the settings are, frame gen on/off or vsync or frame rate limitation to 60 Hz, it makes no difference.

There is nothing wrong with your computer configuration, the game crash has nothing to do with your computer, they still crash a lot after fixing the BUG yesterday, I think maybe they want our steam friends to find out that we are playing this game

This is DDR5 instability, find the bios that works fine, than the expo, on Asus if you set EXPO tweaked all good, when i change to expo 1 and 2 i got issues, i got the same CPU, i NEVER had 1 crash in this game, or instability with my PC.
PS this is my ram version (CMK32GX5M2B6000Z30), they are great with 90% of the motherboards(i fix pc for living)
This ram works perfect with your motherboard!

this is my ram: CMK32GX5M2B6000C30, they are on qvl list of the motherboard and there are no errors with memtest or other apps/games.

Me and my friends that have intel and ryzen 5800x, 5700x, hand 0 crashes and issues with this game so far.
Stop concentrate on your pc, if other works fine, this is unreal engine 5, anything can happen
Ofc the game need optimization and servers.
I use asus x670E-F, 7800x3d and 4080, and i never had one bug or issue that break my game.

Check and fine tune your BIOS settings.

I started the game as administrator and was able to play it for over an hour without crashing. I will test it for a longer period of time later.
