Stop spreading half the truth here, no you can't see the entire route of the helicopter, but only the current waypoint where the helicopter is flying. As an example: "Helicopter flies to the base" so you stand there and see it land, only when the helicopter takes off can you see the second waypoint where the helicopter is flying.

When its going to base, it says its going to base camp. Its actual destination only shows up after it flies away.

Note also the chopper that YOU requested shows as Green on map, don't make the mistake of getting in the wrong one like I've done plenty of times and ended up miles away 😀

Ye learnt that the first time they need to make the Helos have the destination on the icon so everyone can see where its going without clicking on it and before it arrives at the base so everyone can see before it takes off.
You can spam the LZs early wipe if geared players are going to more difficult parts of the map follow them stay behind let them kill everyone and take whats left easy way to gear up at early wipe.
