About the wipes
Honestly reaching out to the devs to say please walk back the decisions on the wipes, I'm willing to get this game but not if progress is going to be deleted. I'm open to the option of being able to wipe all progress, but it should the individual player's decision and nobody else's.

Tarkov repeatedly wiped progress because if you didn't do all of the quests again you'd burn through the minuscule amount of content they actually bother to add in those updates in a week or two. It is done to artificially lengthen the amount of time it takes for people to get bored again and realize they're playing the Russian equivalent of Star Citizen.

So the question I'm asking, and the one I'm hoping to have people agree with me on is this:

Wipes force every player to take their journey again at the cost of nullifying all their previous efforts. Instead of pulling everyone back to the start could you instead focus on letting players help you to build the journey forwards?

Maybe I'm just screaming into the void like a madman with no point but at 2:53 in the morning is usually when I do my best writing so I'm hoping what I've said here will resonate with people that agree and maybe haven't found the words to express it yet.

Or I get 200 clown emotes and someone sends a pipe bomb to my house, could go either way.

Anyway devs, pls consider

the quests arent even that bad unless you try to do them all on your own just look up a guide and or map genie like cmon use common sense and it gives the game content to actually do while rewarding you a ton so womp womp
Im not a fan of looking up a guide to do the quests, it kind of tkes some of the enjoyment out of it and it becomes a grind just to level u p instead of enjoying the ride

At the same time, risking getting absolutely wrecked to check each individual house and storage unit in a place like Tiger Bay is absolutely ridiculous. That place is literally clear 20+ enemies, move 100 feet, clear another 20+. ♥♥♥♥ searching every one of the 50+ buildings for an itty bitty folder.

On top of that, not all of us can afford to play a game full time, so my time is precious in a game.

Like my 4 person squad KNOWING EXACTLY where to go, still spent almost 15 STACKS of ammo each just to fight in AND out of TB. Yeah, I'll stick with Map Genie / Youtube; for me, it doesn't substract from the game, cuz for most missions there is still the challenge aspect of doing it safely.

Nah. I am with the dude, looking up guides defeats the purpose. What is the point of rushing through the game just to end up with nothing left to do?

wipes, coming with content, are great and keeping things fresh

Revisiting this post.

With so many players exploiting the AI and duplication glitch, game needs to wipe sooner than later. The game's balance is so far off because so many players are just exploiting gear and money. Leaving those who play fairly in the minority and at a disadvantage.

From my understanding, this version is the pre-early access build. The game needs to wipe for the official early access version releases in the next month. Reset everyone back to the start after these exploits are patched.

wipe is not good for this game bcz we dont get that much of loots in this game and the game is pve mostly, l felt pvp is end game content

They have said wipes will happen , with big updates , Tarkov has been doing wipes for Seven years , i was told yesterday that this is only 15% completed . There is plenty of loot . I've lost loads of kit due to crashes and bad Europe servers . You can get kit back easy in PvE .

There's plans for higher tier loot later on, but even now, going into area like Midnight, there's plenty of high end gear to be had.

Depending how they implemented PvP mechanics later on. (FOBs, PvEvP events, PvP tasks)

The Cycle had seasons, with each season there was a wipe, but introduced new quests lines different than the previous season.

I think if done correctly, wipes will prolong the game. In games like these, there's going to be a point where players have millions of dollars and so much loot that the game has to wipe. Majority of people will have the best gear, weapons and endless amounts of money.

If they do seasons, with new tasks each seasons, wipes can work very well in Grayzone.

You don't even need those site to easily do the quest lmao. Just read them and/or watch that little image on top of the description and you'll see right away what you have to do and where you have to go.
From all the quest I did already I never even had to go look up what I had to do, they're pretty much self explainatory

Keep in mind that most people prefer to not look up solutions since they actually want to feel acomplishment from doing something.
WIPE it all away, so cheaters cant keep the weapons and all the money they duped.
♥♥♥♥ it, it just Pixels, make GZW great FAIR GAMEPLAY

Rather stick pins in my eyes than do the quests again. If we have to re do them, then I'm done with the game. We should be able to keep out loot and progress. Otherwise, what is the point of even playing if your efforts amount to nothing in the end? We don't play a game to lose progress. We play for enjoyment.

the quests probably won't be the exact same. i remember whenever DMZ would get a wipe there would be a mix of returning quests and a lot of new ones which alongside the new game features added with each wipe made the game maintain its interest. i do however believe there should be some form of persistent progression between wipes, like your player level

The game is not even in half finished and we don't know yet how the game (especially end-game) and game economy would look like at a full release. It may turn out that wipes would be necessary for one reason or another.

In the current state of development wipes are needed to facilitate better game testing, so that developers can make changes and adjustments while playerbase is on more or less the same level. For example, it becomes impossible task to balance game's progression when you have both people who just started and those who have played and hoarded money and stuff for years. AT some point you are going to need a clean slate as a reference point. So I think wipes during early access should be fully expected.

It will probably be extra frustrating for me as I cant sink as much time as I want to into this game, I only really get on for a few nights at the weekend. so progress is kind of slow and I doubt I would complete everything by the time a wipe comes along.

But it is what it is I guess. I knew about wipes before I purchased.
very easy simply make level based or gear based matchmaking... dont need to wipe others progress to make it fair. Its ridiculous to assume adults have time to re grind the same stuff over and over again and why would anyone want to its why i quit tarkov after 2 wipes as well.
