PvE is going to be removed from the game in the full release. Game is developed for PvEvP and give the mounds of issues PvE has, it shows.
That may be problematic for Madfinger games, if true, seeing how they have sold copies of the game with the description of it having a "PvEvP and PvE mode".
Do you know of a source where a member of Madfinger Games has announced this or eluded to the removal of the PvE mode?
It will probably be extra frustrating for me as I cant sink as much time as I want to into this game, I only really get on for a few nights at the weekend. so progress is kind of slow and I doubt I would complete everything by the time a wipe comes along.
But it is what it is I guess. I knew about wipes before I purchased.
If there isn't a wipe to bring you back, how repeatable is the game as is and how many tasks can be added before it's boring?
I hear ppl say when they have beat the game athey will wipe their own character to play again, is there enough ppl that on that same page to prevent wipes every 6mo?
If so, I hope we get to keep all our items and money. I know, I know force wipe is wiping all but come on..
If you keep all the progress but tasks and storage reset, what exactly was the point of the wipe? Like day 1 of wipe, a even a basic package player could push Tiger Bay / Midnight Sapphire after spending 10k (out of 50) in the trader....
Why reset lockers if you can just turn around and buy end game equipment from day 1? You would literally fill it back up on day one.
Why reset quests, if traders are all leveled up? The only point for the quests at that point would be to make money and free gear.
If you keep progress with traders and keep all LZ's, there is ZERO sense of progression.
What you're asking is to basically skip the wipe all together, at which point the game eventually becomes stale. Resetting everything gives people something to work towards continuously.
That makes sense . I dont know how much fun redoing the missions will be as everyone will be going through the same areas again at the same time which is tiresome as it makes it harder to find the keys or kill the bosses because some other team has already breezed through and cleared everything out. Im sure redoing all the missions will be a lot easier second time around as you will have a good idea of what you need to do instead of working it out on the fly.
I have heard that there will be wipes on big updates before the game is officially released, but perhaps not so much after ? that might be ok.
the thing for me is that I dont get to play too much just a coupel of nights on the weekends, so I may well not even get to complete all the missions if they wipe every 6 months ?
Having said that there is a lot of content to be added to the game, the entire centre of the map isnt really populated yet, possibly there is a bunch of stuff to be added there for future missions that have not yet been created. it will be a bit sad to see all the progression wiped but maybe early adopters will get a special thankyou loot item or 2 for helping the dev team when the game goes version 1 ?
