Pay to Win?
i was about to buy into this game until i saw the splash screen showing inventory slots locker slots and the different editions, in game currency i get the different price but to charge for locker space and inventory space as well as the equipment definitely suggests pay to win.

Inventory space you get isnt really pay to win but the money thing could be considered such. But its easy to get money in the game doing the quests.

From my experience playing 20h with standard edition (and last 3hours with Tactical Edition) so far:

Stash: Unless youre a chronic hoarder, youll be fine. You can put backpacks into backpacks, guns into backpacks, stuff into chest rigs, chest rigs into backpacks, meds into med pouches and so on, easily doubling the space that way. Will be upgradeable by playing and doing tasks in the future...eventually.

Container: Not a big obstacle but I would deem it at minimum a minor p2w as it does help to have it bigger. But on the other hand, they dont provide that much extra space so its not like a "god gun overpowered". Definitely annoyed they included it in the editions tho. Supposedly already upgradeable by doing the quests/tasks, but no idea how far in it is.

Guns/equipment: Most of it is generic stuff, some straight up useless, guns/armors that come with it arent bad, but I still prefer a fully decked out AKM I looted from a low tier enemy and spend like 300 (ingame) dollars at making it better back at base.

Money: Irrelevant. Too little to make a difference both short or long term.

It is quite literally pay to win more storage.
With standard you pretty much have to sell everything and play Tetris after every single mission. Or what I do now is not loot anything at all except for an attachment every now and then.

I think this outa' put this to rest:

Meaning of pay-to-win in English: pay-to-win - adjective - (also pay to win) uk/ˌpeɪ.təˈwɪn/ us/ˌpeɪ.t̬əˈwɪn/ - (abbreviation P2W) In computer games, involving or relating to the practice of paying to get weapons, abilities, etc. that give you an advantage over players who do not spend money: The pay-to-win model has ruined video games for me. Is the game pay to win?

It's the literal definition.

Merriam Webster
Win - Verb
1a
: to get possession of by effort or fortune
b
: to obtain by work : EARN
striving to win a living from the sterile soil

You can play the game to win something, that's effort.
Or, you can pay to win something, that's fortune.

Pay... to win... extra storage.
How do you win more storage? You pay for it...

I've put about 30 hours in the game and only got the support edition last night cuz I'm enjoying the game had to play a little tetris in my inventory but it really wasnt hard to play or did I feel my friend with the support edition from the beginning had any sort of advantage.
I have the supporter pack, and from my experience, I have right now, 6 kits of fully stocked Pantsir (class III) body armor, fully pimped out 5.45x39 BT AK's all with zenitco as well as the 1-4x scope on all 6, 2 full Recon chest rigs of BT ammo, 2 snipers, 4 fully pimped out m4's, all mags to those guns, 2 chest rigs + a backpack of meds, 250 000 dollars and 2 more rigs of frag grenades.

Plus backpacks of attachments and scopes as well as charging handles, un-buyable foregrips, dust covers, etc.

It is, without a doubt pay to win. You can kill me 8 times till i am out of gear since i have 6 more full kits + 1 more light "recovery kit" when dead, with a standard edition you hold half.

End of discussion, P2W.

P2W means you're paying to beat other players (ie, win). So if you either pay for exclusive access to better gear/weapons that made it easier to defeat those who don't -OR- if you are paying to have access to those items or gear that, while possible for others to acquire, would take obscene amount of grinding and therefore all but exclusive -- then that would be pay to win. This game has neither of those.

By the way, pay to win is not a discussion or feeling. It is a defined word in a dictionary, with no room for interpretation. If you want to discuss this, then you may ask correctly: "How bad is the pay-to-win in GZW?".

Alright. Grammar N**i done for now. Enjoy your day.

The Cambridge Dictionary would like a word with you, about your statement.

Two backpacks of meds, about 10 Patrol, AMP12, Assault and Scorpion backpacks, 4 decked out M4, 3 decked out AK74s, Mossberg shotty, couple decked out AKMN/SN, mags and better ammo (not soft points) for all, 2 snipers (granted, its mosins, but thats still mostly one shot headshots as its 7,51x54mm), 60k dollars, multiple helmets.

All my mostly standard edition ass is missing compared to you is III armor and dollars.

Edit: Actually, scratch that, CZ Lancers are III protection i think. So im just missing dollars.

Thank you, that proved my point. There's no advantage over other players. Everything DLC players get is easy to acquire in-game or has no competitive advantage.

Yes, you are missing the 2x 30 slot p2w Rush backpacks, have not found them anywhere on the map, even in Fort narrith.

My snipers are not mosins, but the M2000? or whatever it's called.

How decked out is a question too. Every piece exept the damn gas block and reciever on all my guns is decked out, as well as having stockpiles of BT amo, and 200 000 dollars more to buy anything I want, is we two were in a pvp fight, i could keep coming back, again and again and again.
