Being able to camp landing zones is the absolutely the worst thing they could've done
As soon as you jump out of the helicopter, you start getting shot at. So fun.

Switch the PVE.

while i agree that this is a problem unfortunately its not a problem thats easily fixable due to the fact that every faction uses the same landing zones.

one way of fixing the problem i could see that might upset the least ammount of players is disabling combat/PVP within an certain area around the landing zone for example.

making helicopters automatically mow down players from other factions as some people suggested is defenitely not an option, not everyone around the landing zone is camping there to kill you on purpose after all, some of the players from other factions might just be waiting for thair own helicopter exfil there too.

What often happens is people hear your helicopter coming anf go take a look. You can discover LZs on your own which will be further from objectives and not camped.

i believe that very few people are really camping landing zones. it could just feel that way because most people will turn around and observe a landing zone when a helicopter flies over them. just to not get shot in the back after ignoring it.

the fix i liked the most was adding ropes to the heli, so you can jump out at any time of the flight.
or just add some LZs in between.

Land farther away and move-in on foot. That's obv a hot LZ

There should be real time info on those hot lz's then. If your people get killed left and right in an LZ, then it would be a no fly zone for quite some time until those hostiles are cleared.

One way to circumvent this would be to randomize the landing zones a bit. So that you don't really know exactly where the heli is going to land.

I do agree that the LZs need to vary so it can’t be predicted down to the meter. And there also needs to be better channels of communication for teams (ala radio freqs in ARMA) so players can communicate amongst each other to coordinate. But I don’t think it should be an automatic determination by the game.

I still will wish with all my might for dedicated player pilot roles! But highly doubt it’ll happen.

Ya only in ARMA will that be a thing I guess.
For now I wish the pilot can warn of hostile factions. Like "spotted hostiles NW" so you know if enemy faction players are really close to the lz and in what direction. Then again you will probably be wiped the second you step off.

For now in PvP just don't land at closest LZ's and walk there

I have another solution. Cars. And maybe boats. If some of the major rivers were deeper, boats would be a very viable means of transportation. Cars are a no brainer on operations so I think it's pretty wild that these groups use absolutely zero cars for insertion.

But better comms would be very nice. Or even players who would talk.

I'm in crimson. Yesterday went to Ban Pa for 2 tasks. About 2 minutes after landing as I'm moving into the town I hear about 6 or 7 choppers one after the other land nearby. Turns out one of the other factions were flooding Ban Pa. I got killed trying to complete my objective. Decided to fly back naked to try for a recovery. Got off heli and layed in bush for 1 min and heard 3 people talking with proxy chat. They were literally just laying 100M off the LZ waiting for people to fly in and get easy kills. I stayed in that bush for over 5 min and they never left or moved to do anything. Absolutely pathetic gameplay from some of you guys
