Warning Be careful this game with Destroy your Computer (Heat)
Make sure to download a program to monitor CPU Temps in this game as it is essentially a stress test for CPU's even good ones will max out at 100%.

There is so much bad information in these responses. Let me touch on a few of them.

!. I have over 30 hours already in this game in it's first week my Temps are under 70C.
I know how Computers work and I know the wide breathe of various builds that are out there and is why I am issuing this warning for I know that many need to check cpu temps on this game while others will be fine.

2. If your CPU is only maxing out at 70's Celsius that's great for you but others are not and need to be aware of the issue they could have (so check your CPU temps in LONG chopper rides).

3. No it is not safe to run a Modern CPU at any temp under 95C which some people have said in this chat for multiple reasons. One, reason being that it adds Heat into a system and could cause GPU to also pick up heat and give your System fans a hard time dealing with all that extra heat. Two, You might not be using a high quality Motherboard and a MOS-FET or a voltage controller could blow also killing the CPU delivering a lethal jolt to the CPU (I have seen this before).

Conclusion for this Thread... Simply Download a Program that will show your CPU's Max temp over a period of time like MSI afterburner or CPUID's Hareware monitor. and see what the max temp your cpu hit while you played Greyzone over a period of 1 hour or more.

If your CPU temps are below 80C then good for you please move on.

If other games aren't pushing your cpu temps that high and it's only this game I would probably just say it's GZW.
^^
Thats a wrong way of thinking.
Maybe its one of the games which is really stress your system.
I dont want to rule something out that the game is maybe here and there not optimized but maybe your rig need a check at least cpu bios settings?

I have everyhing maxxed out in 2k, have min 175 fps and my Cpu temp is between 55 and 60 deg. Which is completly fine for a i7-13700k.
Even during the heli flights.

As far ive read here in the forum some threads so some people mentioned wrong cpu bios settings may cause the problem with i9 series.

Could be something wrong on your side.

it's the game. r9 5800x, never gets over 85 in stress tests but spikes into the 90's just booting up the game and hits 100C in the chopper then crashes.

No game should destroy your cpu as there is a TJunction / TMax which will throttle your CPU if the temps get too high. If temperature is getting too high, then it is your cooling system. Also the game doesn't use 100% of mine.
Blitzyyy 4 mai. 2024 às 11:14
Cpu barely touches 50 degrees C lol, GPU sitiing around 60.

so, the game definitely pushes 100% load way too often, because its ea and not optimized. but unless youre running 100% load for over an hour, you shouldnt be seeing overheating issues.. or your cooling/airflow setup is inefficient.

I just saw a video from a well known game journalist here in germany and he said the same. the game actually made his pc restart because of cpu overheating :-/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afq6s-CBHO8

He says it right in the beginning, it happened during chopper flights, he said.

I also have a question, is it true that there is no toggle aim in this shooter in 2024?

Maybe for shintel cpus, AMD chips are enjoying grayzone.
Disasterpiece 4 mai. 2024 às 11:18
yes. i just alt tab the game to background while i am in chopper.

No PC should overheat even with a stress-test going for 24 hours. He has an issue with his cooling setup.

It's true that you can build your PC so that you never face such problems. But it is also true and known that some games run hotter than others and that they can be optimized to reduce this. It is now also known that some drivers can really destroy your hardware. This has now been covered by many tech/hardware channels.

But it's also true that many people don't maintain their PCs very well. For example, when it comes to dust, it can play a big role in CPU/GPU overheating and I have observed this myself. Therefore, I can only recommend that anyone who has such problems clean the PC and optimize the airflow. You may have to purchase additional fans for this, but it's worth it, especially in summer.

Another temporary solution is to simply reduce the graphics quality. Especially the shadow quality and everything that is calculated by the overheating part helps with that ;-)

Never had temps over 60°C with this game (epic setting). And I'm air cooled.

Just learn how to manage an early access game (limit framerate, don't push it THAT much in terms of res, etc.). But, ofc, having a temp monitoring program is ALWAYS a good idea.

PC user that's incompetent, common case+diagnosis of skill issue. Get better cooling, or go back to console.

Brotha on the chopper ride I was sitting at 100% usage the entire time with a i9 10850k undervolted. I am warning people because if they have not done recent maintenance (new thermal paste ect..) and/or know how to undervolt the cpu you will destroy your rig so fast on this game. There is no game that is harder on CPUS that I have seen and it's not even close.
bro literally every game that compiles shaders in the background will take ur cpu to 100%, stop fear mongering

ran stress test for hours, no temp issues yet this game crashes my PC the second i get in the chopper...it's obviously a game issue and many people are reporting the same thing.

my cpu is actually under-utilized in this game avgs about 20% usage (Ryzen 9 7950X) and it's definitely using all cores. If you havent tried using the steam launch option, i've heard it helps for intels
