yeah the game isn't using GPU at all for me and my friends, but anywhere from 70-100% CPU
Sensei May 2, 2024 @ 5:46pm
it is not normal
Sensei May 2, 2024 @ 5:47pm
70-80 ok
100-all time = not ok

The game engine is CPU intensive, you have to have a powerful and capable CPU. I run the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and have no problems. The game is also next-gen and will use more resources than other games. Running a 4-6 core CPU will not cut it, you need at least 8 cores to really be able to run the game.

100% is fine its not going to kill it anytime soon if its cool enough i play star citizen for hours at %100 cpu usage just watch temps and look out for pc getting sluggish after a few hours

What’s your gpu? I’m upgrading to a 5700x3d from a 2700x. Still rocking a 2060 super 8Gb but I’ll upgrade that down the line.

No it's not. UE5 is heavily reliant on it's GPU hardware for rendering purposes. Not CPU at all. This is false and whoever told you that (probably some billy bob blog site you just googled) is wrong.

Please, it's an unoptimized mess. I am running it on a 7800xt, 7950x3d and it's still a hunk. Swapping it out for a mates 4090 did little to not much as well. It's naught to do with GPU/CPU. It's a modern engine that relies on GPU, enough said.

Yes, it can utilize more cores than most other engines before it, it's still not a CPU bound engine by any means.
