I can't reload SKS looted from AI

I looted SKS and saved some 10rd clips so I can bring it all in my future loadouts.
I am 100% sure it's already in the vest inventory, but I can't seem to reload the clips into the gun. I'm having to put it in my backpack, right click, and reload, and then place it in my primary slot again. This is ridiculous, fix this crap.

This is happening to me as of a few minutes ago, except with every single firearm i pick up. I literally cant play

SKS has an "internal" magazine. Meaning it is fixed onto the weapon. This rifle doesn't have "quick release" magazines, and is designed for loading rounds into the internal magazine one at a time. This is not a bug, it is how the firearm operates.
While it is in your hands, just be sure you have spare ammunition in one of your quick access slots (belt, pockets, tac-rig) and press the reload button. It is a slow reload process (which can be cancelled by right-clicking).

did you inspect the gun ? if you did you would see an sks has an internal mag that needs to be removed

What you described is the process that I've been doing but I didn't know you could do it while it was in your hands. I always had to place it in my backpack and then right click > reload. That's why I was getting annoyed and thought it was a bug.

Anyway thanks for the info, not so much of a gun nut so I didn't know the SKS operated that way in reality. Cheers

Hey OP. Just figured this out. You have to make sure your magazine or rounds are in an inventory slot with the lightning bolt next to it. Like your pockets, tactical belt or vest. Trying to reload ammo from your backpack doesn't work as you can't quickly access it

Hell yeah! I didn't know they had the external mags for it in-game! I've only ever seen the fixed 10-rounders!

Depends on the SKS, There is two variants. One has a retractable magazine and one is fixed. The one you find on AI is fixed (it holds 11 rounds). But the one you get from the vendor is retractable (it holds 20 rounds).

I wish the retractable version accepted AK magazines like the real counterpart, but sadly it does not,

Guys you can reload your guns but if the mag in your chest or panth you cant reload from your backpack be careful about it.
