Gray Zone Warfare

How do you know if someone is a baddie?
I'm new to this kind of game and I'd like to get better at it, my biggest problem right now is I don't know how to tell who I'm supposed to kill lol

I'm also going to note that I plan on playing exclusively PVE until I can get it figured out. I've used push to talk and that's eliminated some of the confusion so that's dope

Alright ty

You shoot them with 2 mags first and if they're still alive and one tap you, that's an AI.
If Helldivers has thaught me anything, it is that your worst enemy is yourself. Maybe you're the baddie? xD

Compare them to video game publishers. If they act & look like pubs, they’re evil.

in games like this "shoot first ask questions later". either u can cover, check the map and if there is a "faction sign" he's friendly. if not, you are probably dead by now anyway ;) keep it up you will get better.

I also gotta get used to this game. But I just quickly check the map if it is a friendly or enemy.

From my experience so far, i've had more conversations in PvP zones with other factions then i have with my own faction. I've died to more team mates then i've died to AI and other factions combined... idk, the way I try to dictate who is who and if they could potentially be a friendly target is I flick the "M" map open from time to time to get updates on blueberry (team mate) locations so i can see if i have to shoot first or talk first.

Just check the Map every so often to see faction members and be aware of where they're located

Don’t listen to this fool. Idiots like this is what hurts the game and according to madfinger will get you banned.

Answer is, it’s simple really. Keep an eye on your map occasionally, if there is no blue gps trackers near you they are an enemy. Currently you won’t see many enemy PMC’s. Right now it’s easy to tell the difference, AI enemy generally look like a rag tag militia.
Also don’t forget to use you radio “z” to talk to others.

I can guarantee running around shooting everyone isn’t going to get you any better. Had a dude shoot me last night, my squad surrounded him and took his ♥♥♥♥ and mine. So therefore it worked out better for me.

That’s the way a hardcore tactical shooter is, you have to take a little due diligence to make sure you have the right target not only to keep from getting your ♥♥♥♥ took because it will happen but I’m sure Madfinger will start banning people for TK since it’s a Faction based shooter.

99% of people I have meet in my almost 10 hours have been overwhelmingly pleasant except the enemy PMCs we dunked on at barracks.

Bro squad up find some friends, I have noticed “Teammates” are a lot friendlier when squads walk by.

Thanks for giving me concrete stuff to work on, much appreciated!

The developers have stated that as the game is a mil sim it was a design decision to have players check the map to confirm if friendlies are in the area before engaging.

They don't want to make clothing or equipment different between factions because they aren't armies they are PMC (private military contractors) and in reality PMC all look the same.

As others have said. Check your map for the blue GPS markers on your teammates. If you see a PMC in an area with no marker then light em up.

No they don’t all look the same and you can bet your ass they wear identifying clothing. Thats just a no brainer.
