Let me play with my friends in other factions.

Adding to the litany of others, please let me play with my friends if they're part of a different faction. This such a weird and completely useless mechanic.

It is a bad mechanic because I've had friends who may or may not get the game and they might pick before I can say anything. What I think is you should be able to have a separate character for each faction. There's a lot of quality of life issues with the game right now hopefully it gets fixed

I think these people are just coping because they can't refund there game. They are just trying to justify there purchase now. This game has so many issues. Why make a feature that locks you from playing with your friends in a co-op shooter? I never played a game in my life that had such a pointless feature like this. What do the factions even give you? Unique starting guns? Perks? Cosmetic differences? I'm just shocked that people are defending this. Feels like I'm in the Matrix or something.

Eh, the game itself is fine for EA.
I just find it extremely weird that some people are willing to defend a rather dumb mechanic with the words "dont you talk to your friends first" like you'd never in a million years meet someone a day after release (new colleague whatever), figure out that both of you play the game just to be unable to play together due to different factions.

friends usually play with each other, hence not allowing them to team up while being account bound on different factions without any abililty to switch or reset account is incredibly bad.

even tarkov lets you wipe your account and start fresh if you want to to change factions.

So let me guess, everyone one you meet must be in your faction? What if you meet a friend and they already played the game before you did? What if they already had a group before you? You can't expect everyone to join the faction that you picked. What if you meet someone from a different game, and you say "Hey you have Gray Zone Warfare"? and they say "Yeah, let's play!" so now you both get on and you can't with eachother because you picked a different then him or her. You really gonna defend this lmao!

what matters is not just how we feel about it but also what we're going to do once we find out we're limited to the people we knew at the time we bought the game.

as has been mentioned before, some people aren't immediately available. i did not know my friends were going to play or whatever faction they were going to chose for various reasons.

some did not get my message in time, others do not usually play such games at all, then there is one that "does NOT buy early access games" but apparently they did this time. another one sent me a message which i did not see. such things happen.

i can't just talk to my friends all the time either. we all have families, work, real life hobbies.
some of you did not account for those things. no harm done. but maybe stop lowkey telling us we're stupid. that'd be quite something.

and finally, because i cannot play with my friends, along with the fact that my pc is overheating at the moment (which i will fix as soon as i have time for it) i refunded the game. imagine 20 groups of 5 people doing that. or even 100 groups. wouldn't make for a healthy game and in the end everyones crying about how "dead" the game is.

anyway i will be back as soon as we're able to change our faction or create additional characters.

JUST got the game and launched it for the first time. Allowing us to access the squad screen BEFORE we decide which faction to join (which shows friend factions) would ease a lot of the pain here.

so talking about using your brain why didnt you ask your friends what faction they wanted when you got to the faction screen ????
