5~10 rounds to kill?

i thought i was a bad shooter the whole time...
then after shooting and killing them in close range I found out they had no amour on them still taking that many shots to kill.
Yes, it's fun shooting them, but all the time?
one shot to the head is the only way to kill them quick.

Guns are not laser accurate. It feels like there is deviation So you may shoot 6 perfect body shots but and medium rang i bet 3 or 4 miss. Even with high power scopes its not pin point accurate.

game has a pretty indepth damage model. if you aren't hitting anything important then the enemies wont die. same goes for you.

I was shooting a friend in the leg because he got bugged and couldnt interact. so i was hoping if i put him in a coma it'll fix the bug. and it took probably half my mag of tapping his legs before he went down with my m4a1.

If you want to kill someone instantly as opposed to having them bleed out over a period of time then you need to destroy critical organs. Go to your health screen and rotate the player model, it will show you all the "human" internals.

I shot one of the AI's like 8 times in the chest with the Glock and he died to bleeding out about five seconds later. Seems a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

perhaps this game is different than other games i've played. they dont die right away after 3 shots; they get shot, they hurt, they bleed out, then they die.
just like the real thing...

It's a pretty damn cool model really, nail the head and it's lights out, catch the shoulder, arm, leg anything non vital and they'll fight on

i looked at some of the ammo in the game and it do say that some ammo has deviations when you fire them its not a large number but some has 2% some has 5% but ther is also amm with no deviation and i have bin used that ammo and i kill people in like 3 shots so i guss its all about what ammo you use

Try 10 shotgun round almost point blank and still end up dead before the ennemy

That seems like a thing that happens regularly in the real world...

As to the OP's point, I'm going to guess it's mostly the damage model they use, and how getting wounded works, along with some glitches and wonky code/network issues.

shooting an AI up close with a shotgun 6 times right in the chest and head should do the job. yet the AI still stand there and shoots kills you with 1 shot.
