Potential Controller Support?

Will this game get controller support? Even just for basic movement/shooting? There's a gigantic lack of good extraction shooters (basically none) that have controller support. Do devs just not like making money? Controller players are a sizable audience and it makes no sense that some of these newer games don't release with console/controller support considering the PS5/XBSX are pretty powerful machines that could absolutely run games like this and Tarkov. the "too many keybinds" excuse is a dead horse and has been beat enough. I'd love to give you my money but not even being able to play this with a controller is genuinely confusing when i know for a fact that some modder in Ethiopia with no financial support could mod it in with very little effort. i'd love to give this team my money because this genuinely looks like a really good game, and i still might just end up buying this regardless of it having native CS or not. i would just like to be able to use my preferential platform natively (is this even a word) without steam input breaking the game.

Yup wont buy until controller support comes, i just do not like the feel of mouse and keyboard, probably because i didnt get into pc gaming untill i was thirty but it is what it is.

Tips for transitioning to m and k from controller. Map the wasd keys to the left thumb stick for movement but use the mouse for aiming and firing etc. Doesn't take long doing this in games that allow it before you ditch the pad and go full k and m. It's far easier than lobbying every game dev for controller support like I used to do!. Also the mouse is much better for aiming and shooting than the pad, without question. Couple of weeks and so many games are opened up to you. I know this isn't what you want but it benefits you in the end.

I prefer Mouse, Keyboard. Much more responsive and easier layout

What a way to respond to a typo, go buy yourself a console if you want to play with a joystick, big guy. An fps is played with a keyboard and mouse, we don't want your crappy controllers, with an aim assist because it's impossible to be precise without one.
And no, and no, I like beating up stick players who have the cheater's aim assist desactivated and who put all their ammos next to me.

I use the Rewasd emulator which can take more than 50 keyboard/mouse shortcuts and arrange them as you wish on the controller of your choice as well. The license costs $25 and is for life.
