Potential Controller Support?
Will this game get controller support? Even just for basic movement/shooting? There's a gigantic lack of good extraction shooters (basically none) that have controller support. Do devs just not like making money? Controller players are a sizable audience and it makes no sense that some of these newer games don't release with console/controller support considering the PS5/XBSX are pretty powerful machines that could absolutely run games like this and Tarkov. the "too many keybinds" excuse is a dead horse and has been beat enough. I'd love to give you my money but not even being able to play this with a controller is genuinely confusing when i know for a fact that some modder in Ethiopia with no financial support could mod it in with very little effort. i'd love to give this team my money because this genuinely looks like a really good game, and i still might just end up buying this regardless of it having native CS or not. i would just like to be able to use my preferential platform natively (is this even a word) without steam input breaking the game.

Yep 100% with you on this, we need controller. at least as an option

A PC FPS Doesn't need controller support lol.

How tf do you expect a game with 20+ hotkeys to be mapped onto a controller? LMAO
Garbage idea. Not even worth the devs time.

you really say anything,
learn more about key mapping; one can bind well more than 20 shortened, I'd say 40 or so....
They just need to have a good optimization of the key shortcuts,
so of course it's worth adding controller support.

not for a long time i dont think there are many problems with the game that have priority over controller support

Hey folks! I've created a quick YT tutorial for how to get controller support set up for Gray Zone. Check it out if you want!

thanks !!
I'm going to take a closer look, the camera is nice smooth when you turn the aim, no stuttering I would like to say? (camera not smooth, that's if you see what I mean..)
I plan to play it just in pve co-op or single player pve,
thanks for sharing your setup :)
So true.. I love my pc but I just don't have the patience to learn MnK, so I only play games that support it

you can absolutely map 20+ keys on a controller, especially so if its got paddles. even then, they dont need to map every single keybind thats dumb as hell. all most cs advocates are askin for is just enough to not break their already broken game more with steam input.

I've tested a PS4 controller. It is not officially supported, but you can use a controller with this game. You'd have to rebind all the controls, but it does work somewhat.
You'd need a 3rd party app to map stuff (I've had it for other games).

But like I said it works...somewhat. YMMV

I've used the Xbox controller with paddles and it works just fine for me. The only thing I can't do with it is scroll around the map or inventory. But i just use my mouse for that.

Lack of controller support is very bad for economy, this due to alot of players don't use the most ergonomic setup for their PC gaming, either because the lack of space at home or the lack of ability to sit ergonomically with a keyboard and mouse, or they simply have carpal joint issues using mouse and keyboard or find it as a total lackluster experience in comparison to a controller. Sitting with a controller enables you to sit or lie down while playing in almost any position which makes it more fun as a relaxing experience, most players play to relax not to have a office time session.
