again people complaining about performance

Have you ever stopped to think that maybe the problem is you and not the game itself?

I'm so upset to see that every game that comes out, there are people complaining that the game "is poorly optimized" when in reality they are trying to run it on a fairly old PC.
I have a high-end PC and I haven't had any problems with all the games that came out in the last 3 years.
Maybe they should stop spending on games and save up to buy a decent PC.

Bro, have you played any games lately? I honestly wonder how ignorant you have to be to not be able to do a simple comparison.

I also have a 2500 Euro PC, I can run anything at 120 FPS, usually without DLSS to blur ♥♥♥♥. This on the other hand only gets me 50 FPS with DLSS and 90 with FSR.

I am sick of developers shipping unoptimized games with the excuse of "upscaling will make it playable".

And performance isn't even the biggest issue, the reason I'm not playing right now is cause I got around 8 crashes in 5 hours. Actual crashes, not counting the servers failing.

you when a LOT of people complain about performances the issues might come from the game? I run a 3080 a ryzen 7 5800x and 32gbRAM and can't get above 60 FPS on minimum with DLSS on quality. It ain't a us issue, the game is just not optimised at all.

Can run everything except this game but it's my fault I guess yeah lmao.

brother, I have a 7800xt which came out last year and it still struggles in this game. 70 fps on medium graphics 1080p is just crazy.

yes , its kinda. You're expecting to get 60 fps on a 3080 / 5800x on a 2024 game.

Try upping your graphics a bit. GPU utilization should be about 90-99% at all times. You want to load the GPU as much as you can so the CPU won't get too much of a load. The less the CPU has to work the faster it can send new data to the GPU and in turn the GPU can make more work. Resolution is also a factor.

For older Graphic cards (30xx and lower) with lower performance, use FSR with Frame Generation On and Super Resolution Performance or Balanced (Options / Graphics / Anti-Aliasing - Upscaling Method)
For the NVidia RTX 40xx series cards, use DLSS setup for best performance (Options / Graphics / Anti-Aliasing - Upscaling Method - DLSS)
For the NVidia RTX 40xx series, use the Toggle on Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling at 'Windows Display Settings- after enabling/restarting the PC. The frame gen feature will be enabled in the game (Options / Graphics / DLSS Frame Generation)

without it my 3080 did 80 on 2k... now 140... but depends on many things....so u need to test it out...

This should be able to run last gen games. Sure i can upgrade to a 4090ti but i dont think the 2000$ justifies the extra 30 frames i would get in this game

Anytime you see a game is UE5 and the graphics look nice, expect Ark Survival Ascended performance. UE5 does not scale well below the current generation of hardware. It was not designed to. It was designed to be a Next Gen engine with some crazy features built in that are non-optional.

yes , its kinda. You're expecting to get 60 fps on a 3080 / 5800x on a 2024 game.

My specs are what they "recommend" so yeah it should be running at 60 fps minimum. if it makes sense for you that it doesn't then I don't know what's your vision of the video game industry but you are clearly part of the reason why we keep seeing games launching with such disastrous optimisation.

Also, might I inform you that there's this thing called steam hardware survey. Recent one is from march 2024, go check the hardware people have and then tell me how 30xx cards are outdated.

But you don't own this game and haven't played it. How can you say for certain if the problem is poor optimization or everyone else just complaining?

You have a "high-end PC"... what's your average FPS in the game, at what resolution, and with what hardware components?

Without that, this whole post is just trolling, amigo. Everyone is keen to post their specs and FPS as data points for why the game doesn't run well, so you should provide counter data if you are making a counter claim.

Which would mean you'd have to actually buy the game first.

frame gen has still the laggy feeling even when the fps seem high. i got a 7900 GRE and overclocked it. for a comfy 4k tsr medium setting i need the doubled performance. so even a 7900xtx isnt enough. probably a 4090 is a proper card to run this game.
