High cpu temps
Are there tips to decrease temps? Running at +75°C idling in base and up to 95°C in combat.

3440x1440P with Dlss balanced, every setting set to low and a steady 60fps.

Add a temperature limit in the bios for cpu. I put mine at 85

While I'm at the home Village or base it is fine. interestingly the way back to base is worse than going to the objective.
I think they should just add an option to turn off most processing while on the chopper. I know it is a main part of the game play etc, but I would not mind a black screen with a timer on and a slow load when I get there, at least for PVE. Not forever just while they work out how to optimize the game

I think the game just needs some patch work, fine tuning etc. No reason CPU usage should be anywhere near that high for the length of time it is.

Check your CPU temps in Prime95 test. It will be higher than in game, u have a cooling problem, maybe

Trying to be funny?

Nope. it`s not a joke, lol

Same CPU, but it`s not a problem with good cooling (Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 + MX6)

Im using a 5600x, my first chopper ride was bad but after that its been fine, Im getting 90+ fps with frame gen, I use a 240mm radiator which is a lil over kill for a 5600x, i just have it from my 2700x I replaced.

NZXT Karaken X72 here. It can handle this game but those temps are not normal from what I have seen...206C higher than any other game means something is really wrong here...

game is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, graphics and gameplay is beautiful yeah, but imagine cpu temp rise to 81c instantly whenever I finished loading screen and reach basecamp, havent even tried the game combat, but it worried me to tear my pc, what an absolute moron from devs, I know its EA, but at least put a test before releasing it as a whole game, For all of u who have the same issues, refund the game, dont break ur pc just because of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass game

you have high temperatures because the game often runs at 100% CPU usage and therefore reaches extreme temperatures. It's the game's fault, I don't even play until they fix it, you risk PC damage. :steamfacepalm:

This game is bad on new hardware. I have an i9-13900K and it makes my CPU almost hit 100. Never EVER seen temps even close to that...yet while its raping my CPU my 4090 is at sub 60 degrees...its pushing all the load on the CPU and nothing on the GPU. It doesn't make sense. This game is so poorly optimized. Doesnt matter what settings I put it on. Epic, High, Medium or Low it won't make my GPU do the work and instead is relying on my i9 to do all the work.

If anyone is wondering why their 13th and 14th gen Intel CPU's are having thermal problems. Its because a large number of them appear to be defective.

https://wccftech.com/only-5-out-of-10-core-i9-13900k-2-out-of-10-core-i9-14900k-cpus-stable-in-auto-profile-intel-board-partners-stability-issues/

This is not the only game forum I'm seeing Intel owners having stability problems in either. Almost any title that is pushing CPU's to 100% on a sustained basis is having similar issues.

Right now Intel is blaming motherboard manufacturers and motherboard manufacturers are blaming Intel. My suspicion is the problem is Intel though. If it was motherboard manufacturers almost 100% of the CPU's sampled would be failing when tested on the same board, not 50%.

I just installed this game and noticed when the game first launched, my cpu temps spiked to 90+ . But once the game had finished launching, and got into the front screen, the temps came back down to normal, around 65c. I tried launching my first game, and got complete thermal shutdown. I saw temps hit about 105c before I got the thermal kill. I went into BIOS, and cranked up the fans to MAX. Tried a second time, to launch a game, with same results. As soon as the game "found a lobby," my cpu skyrocketed to 100+ and got me a thermal kill. I've had issues a little bit in the past; so I'm going to replace my current monster air cooler with an AIO. But the paste and everything is good, as I rechecked it myself not long ago.

Hopefully they can iron out these kinks, as I was really looking forward to this game.

Here's my specs:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 4.28 GHz "Vermeer"
Board: MSI MPG X570S CARBON MAX WIFI (MS-7D52)
GPU: MSI Gaming (MSI) GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB GDDR6X PCI Express 4.0 Video Card RTX 4070 Ti GAMING X TRIO 12G
Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S w/ 1ea 120mm fan // going to //
Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 Atmos ARGB Close-Loop AIO Liquid Cooler, Customize Pump, Sickleflow Edge PWM Fans, 360mm Radiator, CryoFuze, AMD Ryzen AM5/AM4, Intel LGA1700/1200 (MLX-D24M-A25PZ-R1)
Memory: 32gb G Skill (2x16) 3600mhz

Apparently from what I've read somewhere that it's partly down to the version of UE5 casuing the high CPU temps.

high spikes up to 95 °C and throttled by the heat limit

Seetings on Medium
Frames limited to 60
I noticed when high player count in the server my cpu gose upto 92 and in lower player count 78-85 also FPS doped 25-35

It's not hard to go into bios and limit the temps to your choosing. I did this when I purchased my pc.
