>ITS EA REEEEEEEE SO ITS OK IF THE GAME IS BAD OR P2W
This game isn't launching. It's coming to "EARLY ACCESS". This is not a full relase
2. Literally every single person who played the beta a month back said the game was nowhere near ready for release, had tons of issues.
Again, not a full release. Early Access.
3. One of the playtesters being bigfry mentioned a critical issue with not being able to shoot out of the helicopter until you are landed, leading to spawn camps with 0 way to fight back. The dev response was literally “meh I don’t care”.
This isn't true. Devs had a version of the game where could shoot from the helicopter. This wasn't in the playtest so you couldn't shoot. The devs have added it back into the game and now you can shoot from the helictopters again. Also, you do NOT have to use the LZ and can walk everywhere in the game. Also, there are lots and lots of other LZ to find in game to use. I do agree the LZ camping is an issue though and more needs to be done about it other than shooting from the helo.
4. There are many other issues too with the size of the map and game mechanics, messy UI bullet sponge ai, back coding, bad net code, bad hitreg, and extremely boring walk times.
Devs have already addressed these issues with how bullets, penetration, and bullet cavities work. AI should no longer be tanky. Hit registration was also worked on. Not sure if its 100% yet. Again, Early access.
5. The point being the game is absolutely nowhere near release. It’s not even viable as an early access it’s more like a tech demo at the moment. They’re only launching because if tarkov recovers this game doesn’t really stand a chance.
“B-BUT THATS WHAT EARLY ACCESS IS FOR”
I disagree. Everyone said in the previous test it needed MONTHS like 6-12 months of cook time, and now a month later and it’s launching? Conveniently timed with the tarkov issue to leech max player count? After not even a hint of the game launching soon previously?
At this moment players don't care about a lot of what you are saying. We just want to play the game for what is there right now.
6. This feels scummy. Playing devils advocate though I get it, they’re devs they need to make money and inherently if their goal is to make money then now is the time to launch. They’ll likely never get a second shot with a behemoth like tarkov.
Everyone is allowed their own opinion. I don't feel like this is the case. I feel like the demand from the player base is why they are pushing it out now. Not to mention if you didn't know, the devs said they planned on releasing the game after the 2 week streamer event prior to the event happening. The only reason the event went on longer was because of the issues the streamers were bringing up and the devs wanted to fix them and get more input from the streamers and fix everything they could before EA launch.
7. Then we go to the pay to win aspects. It’s about the same as EOD in terms of pay to win, it still feels really scummy but they’re doing it because they know people will compare it to tarkov and go “well it’s about the same so who cares” really goes to show the mindset of these developers. If they’re willing to go this far now it’ll probably be worse as the game goes in. Even worse, if the launch makes a lot of money while the product is undercooked the devs have 0 incentive to keep making the game if things go south in the near future.
I hate P2W as well, but if you look at shooter extraction games inventory space is a big deal and having that as part of different packages really does make sense. The rest of the stuff isn't pay2win. You are just getting more guns and stuff to use. Not like you are getting the best pew pew 1 shotter gun in game right away and bullets right? lol.
8. Just my two cents, I will likely try it and buy it but still. Devs seem really scummy.
Again, everyone has a right to their opinion and its good that everyone shares them. Sometimes great ideas or insight can come from them.
Read the responses to the quotes above.
I will be buying the 100 dollar version of the game and don't care about anything else really. This game has alot of potential and I am going to back it up. Everyone has a right to pay or not pay. Up to you. Make your choices in life and don't get mad at other people for the choices you make in life. That wasn't directed at the OP im just saying for everyone in general. I have been burned on EA games before. It's my choice and everyone else's choice. No one has a gun to my head or yours lol.
And they'll make a ton of money with clueless supporter edition buyers that are just happy to have little less ♥♥♥♥ in their mouth than Nikita is giving them currently.
How can you bash the devs of this game when it took BSG years to add vaulting and other crap to their game? The game was always going to release in early access pretty soon considering the free marketing from streamers last weekend. Tarkov should have no way near as many issues as it does after years of development and the money they've earned. OP, this post was very poor. You're a loser. Goodbye!
