RTX 3080 - FSR vs DLSS
I have been suffering lots of engine crashes recently, much more than usual.
In one of the discussions here, user @katja shared advice that players using FSR may suffer more crushes.
I decided to try DLSS against devs advice and see if there is a difference.

Since yesterday, after changing to DLSS (about 6-8h of game-play) I had not a single crash.
The FPS are significantly lower but I get pretty consistent 50-60 fps (I capped it at 60) on low settings, which is OK.
Also I noticed that even though I have about 40-50% less FPS, and picture is not as smooth, the aiming become so much easier. On FSR it was awkward. On DLSS the game become somewhat easier... or perhaps its just my perception.

I decided to share that experience as it may help someone else.

You are right, but for GZW, devs are recomending FSR for RTX 30XX and older cards so this is how played.

i playing mine on med with 3060 and dlss and on quality with a 5600x and im geting constant 55 to 60 fps and in chopper only drops to 50 on fsr its 70 but it look blurry and so ild rather lose a few frames and see than not.

I use DLSS with my Ryzen 9 7900X and RTX 3070, it runs smooth with things set to medium. Trying to use FSR makes the game feel jittery and laggy. With FSR the FPS counter says 00, and it feels like less than 30, so IDK what is up with that.

Turn off Frame Gen under FSR

FSR - Frame Gen is broken rn, so if you Disable Frame Gen under FSR settings you shouldn't crash

I have a 3080 - using FSR ( Frame Generation Disabled ) and get way more frames than DLSS. Allso I use lossless scalling for frame generation

I get insanely good frames on FSR, but honestly it just looks bad to me, even gives me a headache. I'd rather 60 FPS high with DLSS until something is done with FSR.

FSR looks bit more bad and their frage gen tec give horrible imput lag

so DLSS is the way to go

I play TSR at 67% render resolution and it has the least amount of input lag. My card is a RX6800XT. I get around 100 fps on those settings. I get 150+ fps w8th FSR but the input lag is still too much. Lower fps with TSR but alot less input lag too

INPUT LAG FIX ! !!

Well I am with Ryzen 9 5900x , 32 gigs of Ram DDR4 and RTX 3070 ...can Say thaT FSR is making the gameplay awesome and I play with 100-120 frames .

Ingame quality settings :

Upscaling - FSR
Textures - High
Shadows - High
Foliage - Epic
Everything else on LOW

In the beginning before 5 days, my graphics card were running on 80 Degrees, were singing like hornet and crashed several times to black screen...
SO I did Undervolting in MSI and memory clock to +1000 ...the Graphics card is not crashing anymore and stays on 65 degree and the performance is INCREASED ... there is a video for 3070 issues with voltage and crashing if anyone is interested ...

3070 Undervolting and increase performance :

My fix that worked for me and gain me more Performance and get rid of the INPUT LAG from FSR frame generator...

1, Go to Nvidia Control panel
2. Go to Manage 3D settings
3. Click on Program settings (Next to Global)
4. Find in the drop down menu the Grayzone Warfare (Brows it from the list, because it can find the Anticheat icon with the game name which works also, but for anycase).
5. Turn the Low latency Mode - ON (In the game Nvidia Reflecs can be put to ON or + boost or OFF it does not matter is the same with or without it ) This setting is taking away your Input lag for SURE... TESTED !
6. Texture filtering - Quality to High Performance
7. Trilinear Optimisation - ON

Apply and Get into the game, Enjoy FSR Frame generator without gram of a damn Input lag... the game after this settings for me gained me up to 25 FPS on FSR and DLSS ... so I was playing on 100 on FSR now on 125 ...

10x me later.

with DLSS there are a ton of settings to tweak if you want to up your frames using it. you can put framegen on, and you can change the quality to performance or even ultra performance just look at all the DLSS settings after selecting DLSS you can really tweak things in there
on my 10900k and 3080 i find the performance from dlss, fsr, xess, and tsr 67% feels pretty much the same out in the field

fsr of course has the ability to get noticeably higher fps because of framegen but it makes my game feel awful, the input latency with it on is bonkers, aiming at 80fps with fg on feels infinitely worse than scoped in at 20fps in tiger bay without fg, like im trying to aim with a rubber band

I use FSR as this give me more FPS than DLSS and its more smooth, 4070Ti here, zero crashes in this game.

my friend said his 4070Ti gets pretty decent frames at 1440p using DLSS after tweaking a few of the DLSS settings over 120fps for him. pretty sure he has a 9 series i9 CPU

Im running a Ryzen 9 5900x with a 3080 Ti and 32gb of Ram. Im using DLSS and all settings on EPIC with frame cap at 60 and it runs and looks great.
