this is a game, its supose to be fun not to be realistic in that ways, the graphics are already realistic enough, there are mechanics in games that need to work otherwise you are not playing you are simply dying and this turns into a first person dying simulator not a fps, Ive 150 hours in this game its almost completed but the mechanics are clearly not working for alot of people.
It has a dark souls format. Have you played dark souls ? All I know is whenever I okay tight I do well. If I play like an idiot then I get dropped fast. Hell I even went to areas outside of the starting town with just a knife and did just fine.
It a hardcore gaming experience and that's where the tides of fun come in. Some days you're the hammer and some days you're the nail.
for example, running up from hotel 3 on the main road into midnight sapphire you reach the security checkpoint, there are heavy bushes on the left and right with plenty of lighter bushes
you can take high ground or use the hillside as cover that you slowly push up from, problem is that after you shoot the first ai the rest can either run out into the open/street or run into bushes, if they run into bushes your only options are wait for the ai to fully un-aggro and wander around, fully reset if they dont walk out of the bushes, or roll the dice on whether or not they treat the bush like its actually there or if its invisible to them
first problem is you shot. The later areas benefit greatly from a shoot when you need to, but the AI generally has pretty bad aim when they fire first. The AI reacts to you right now, engage at 500 meters, and they will shoot back and probably hit you if you're standing still. Keep moving and they reset their aggro quicker if you don't engage. If you're going to take out their buddies when they are anywhere within earshot, they will all engage. If you have to shoot when you're going to midnight sapphire then engage them from the sand bags and hold position. There are very few free kills on midnight once you're close to the hotel, shoot and engage when you have to and where you can hold it down.
Its almost like its in Early Access huh? I swear you Gen Z'er are just too easy to spot.
Dude the loop plays exactly like dark souls. Gear = souls. I did gearless runs to finish quests or to recon for quest because it wasn't worth losing my gear over. Sound familiar
Im not Gen Z actually and I dont know how did you get that conclusion cause made no sense calling me a gen Z or a gen X over a comment, you probably like to put everything in the same bag too, thats funny... now a days early acess is an excuse for the gaming industry say that their games are in "never ending state of evolution" and the player have to accept the fact the game is not complete or its in its begining state, some games never left their begining state and I would acept that and agree if I didnt pay for the game... this is happening much more often since 2010, you gotta tell me since when you saw a game that even in early acess the support edition plus game is 100€. paying 100€ for a incomplete game that comes to the selling platforms with dozens of bugs, constant server crashes that some countrys cant even play cause the ques are huge or simply not avaible, bad mechanics etc etc... its just not normal.
I've died a fair bit but I have also survived a fair bit and cleared towns out on my own.
No, exactly .
I come from games like, Tarkov, Dayz, Squad, and in the past alot of other fps shooters since 1996, theres no problem on "this kind of games" for me to play and I can clean Tigersbay solo, that was never a problem, assuming and accept this game mechanics are good and reasonable is the problem.
mfw the game is advertised as a realistic shooter. they want the realisim and I say GOOD.
you can avoid dying if you engage smartly, you aren't a one man army, this isn't COD, you are just as vulnerable to the AI as they are to you and that's a good thing. play it smarter.
