Good observation, I guess.
Plus you will feel less stress and save a lot of time by not being able to do so.
I thinks so, that would lower the "grind" for keys.
But this may be intended...
Yeah, but I hope they see they took a couple wrong turns in the design and are putting the time into the more structural changes that are needed rather than wasting time making pointless fixes with no future.
Agreed. Maybe as a kludge to make it harder. The missions should be harder to complete because they require skill and a splash of luck. Right now some of the missions are 99% luck which sucks.
I tell you what would make it better, is intel to allow the formulation of a plan. We just have a flat low res map. Some intel such as expected AI, most probable locations, geography, etc. Rather than trying one way, dying. Next, dying. Next bit further, but still died. My squad took two days and about four attempts to find a way to the objective in Tiger Bay so that we could all complete the mission. Once we found a good route, it was doable. Brute force is one way to do it, but it is just dice rolling.
I like the idea of unique quests that Kay be more risky like low gear and packing which should also equate to higher quality loot and exp. Good idea.
I think the main issue you say in your title. It's too tedious to grind so much for little reward. It's not respecting the average persons time. I'm not fast playing by any means and if anything going slow but I have 90 hours and only level 18. That has less than everyone on level 2 vendors and still a ways from level 3s for some. That sucks.
I think there needs to be more reason to use AKs and other weapons like the sniper and more unique qualities to grips scopes and other gear. Maybe some can be really good in level one and two if you can find it or earn it. Which keeps the excitement to still earn the level 3. I don't even know if there is level 4 but adding another level could improve the distribution as well. Hmm I like that idea of adding another level as that's an easy fix and solves a lot of problems with progression alone.
The game is great but has a ways to go. We need better hot fixes faster imo at this early stage.
Edit: the dupe loot cash thing is fine for me personally because it's too easy to lose everything starting out and definitely playing alone with the ai being inconsistent. There are plenty of whack 1 tap scenarios that lose out on gaining your lost gear or crashes that make you lose your ability to get back the good gear. It's early access so I'm not having issue with it nearly at all given that people do drop good kit currently. The community is the strength of this game imo. I know it will get fixed but it's a Grey zone for me! I'd never dupe or cheat myself but I also am not complaining about gear drops from that very system at this moment in time.
Thanks for your nice response and thoughts. My thinking is that the loot you collect in Joint Ops does not transfer to Warfare. I love the idea of Joint Ops, definitely a key feature, but being able to run around risk free and then bring that loot into Warfare risks turning Warfare into an ambush simulator. I think Warfare should be about surviving the environment, progression and then dealing with other factions that get in the way of those two.
