Gray Zone Warfare

How long does your body remain after death ?
I was in Fort Narith and died on the stairs in the HQ,
I spawned into the base camp and then had a long phone call so I just kept my player alive by moving around every so often, dealt with a bunch of work stuff (that I should have been doing anyway)

later some friends joined the server I was on probably about 2 hours later. And we went back to Fort Narith and fought our way to the HQ, but my body was no longer there.

Now I know about the missing body thing, unfortunately there was an AI died pretty close to where I thought I was but I carefully walked every step looking and usually even if I cannot see my body I can still loot it. However I began to wonder if player bodies disappear after a time the same as AI bodies ?

No huge loss, but I just wanted to see if there was a reason or if my body should have still been there ?

Also that dam more the merrier mission looking for the paperwork in the barracks, I guess it can be behind one of the many locked doors that I dont have a key for. quite frustrating when you have to fight your way in and clear the place out but cant find the item.

I don't know about a time limit, but I do know that you are only allowed one corpse at a time. If you die on the way back to your corpse, it de-spawns your old one and gives you a new one. I've also had my body disappear for no apparent reason as well, but every entity/corpse more than likely has a time limit, I assume it has a longer de-spawn time than AI though. Also, "More the Merrier" is currently bugged, they fixed it with the 5.2 hotfix, but broke it again with the rollback.

ahh yes I did remember seeing a note on them adjusting it, forgot that it was the rolled back hotfix. thats a shame.

yeah I know about the second death thing, I didnt die again. it was just a lot longer than the usual time to get back to your body I guess :P

to be more precise its around 45 to 50 minutes, I tested with a bag (that works the same way as a body) I droped on bushes and it disapeared between 45 to 50 minutes when I was farming tigerbay.
thanks for the responses, good to know one way or another, makes sense I guess and not the end of the world, but at least it will stop me looking for something that wont be there if similar situation happens again ;)
