I suggest trying a few steps that might help resolve the problem:

1. Verify Game Files: Check the integrity of the game files. If there are any corrupt files, they should be repaired.
2. Reinstall the Game: Try reinstalling the game, possibly on a different SSD drive (if available), with antivirus and firewall temporarily turned off.
3. Disable Overclocking: Ensure that programs like MSI Afterburner are not running to avoid overclocking or underclocking your hardware.
4. Check Antivirus Settings: Make sure your antivirus hasn’t blocked any installation files and isn’t preventing access to the game servers. Add exceptions if necessary.
5. Run Steam as Administrator: Close Steam and relaunch it in administrator mode (right-click and select "Run as administrator").
6. Run the Game as Administrator: Try running the game itself in administrator mode.
7. Rollback Video Drivers: If you have the latest video card driver installed, consider completely removing it and installing an older, more stable version. The latest driver may be causing crashes for some players.
8. Disable Fullscreen Optimizations: Consider disabling fullscreen optimizations for the game.
9. Disable Steam Overlay: Temporarily turn off the Steam overlay.
10. Verify Visual C++ Installation: Ensure that Visual C++ is properly installed (Steam usually installs this along with the game and other necessary software).
11. Clear Steam Cache: Try clearing the cache in Steam.
12. Update DirectX: Make sure your DirectX version is up to date.
13. Close Background Processes: Close any unnecessary background processes that could be consuming resources.
14. Change Compatibility Settings: Try running the game in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows, like Windows 7 or 8. (This is not guaranteed to help but is worth trying if other suggestions don’t work.)
15. Check Network Connection: Verify that your computer has a stable network connection.
16. Toggle Game Mode: Try turning "Game Mode" on or off in your operating system.
17. Check Screen Resolution: Ensure the screen resolution is set correctly and not customized in a way that could cause issues.
18. Update Devices: Make sure all your devices are updated, as outdated drivers can sometimes cause problems in games.
19. Lower in game settings.

I would suggest focusing on lowering all settings to the minimum and trying Rollback Video Drivers. The latest drivers, unfortunately, can cause instability and installing one version before stable usually solves the problem.

If after these actions the problem is still not resolved, do not hesitate to contact customer service through the attached link: Submit a ticket [support.madfingergames.com]

GPU Crash Dump
Hi, I'm running a 3080 and a i13700k.

Game runs at a solid 120-140 at all times.
I have set the game to FSR and disabled the frame rendering. But getting GPU crash dumps.
HOWEVER ...
Game ran fine when installed yesterday for a long 7 hour session but today its just crash after crash after crash.

No apparent cause. No additional programs running. No change in system. I've tried rebooting and that doesnt resolve it. I am unsure of what the problem is. GPU still stable at 78c which is what my system typically runs at under load from games like this.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I have lost quest progression 11 times today and 11 sets of gear since this started today. Its destroying ability to play the game.

Gpu crash dump error Was always directly related to frame gen being on for me on gtx 1660super before I bought a 4xxx series card. Without frame gen I had zero gpu crash dump errors but low fps. Upgraded to 4xxx series card and use dlss/dlaa with much improved performance and zero gpu crash dump errors.

You should definitely use DLSS instead of FSR for the NVidia card.

Also try deleting the user settings ini file. The game should create a new default one and see if that makes it better.

Finally, try verifying game files through Steam.

yeah zero reason to use FSR over DLSS on NVIDIA.

it's nice that its an option but DLSS both looks better and performs better. FSR biggest selling point is that its gpu agnostic like XeSS but also kinda just a neat feature because NVIDIA users should probably always use DLSS because it is just inherently better, both from a frame rate standpoint and a scene IQ standpoint.

One of the reasons to use FSR with an Nvidia GPU is the ability to enable Frame Generation. With DLSS, unless you have a 40xx series card, Frame Generation is not available.
My friend was also getting constant crashing with an RTX3070 and FSR, but the issue has been pretty much resolved after disabling Hardware Acceleration GPU Scheduling in the Windows 11 settings.

oh good point I'm just spoiled with 4xxx

I tested FSR and their frame gen and seen absolutely zero increase on my 4xxx card. not sure if it wasn't working correctly or that was all it did but seemed very underwhelming and certainly not worth the drop in perfromance/IQ from the DLSS implementation.

it could also maybe just not work on the 4xxx? am I the only one that seen no gains at all with FSR and AMD frame gen? FSR also ran 20 FPS slower than DLSS while looking much worse.

Oh yeah, with a 40xx series card you should absolutely stick with DLSS + Frame Generation - I can't think of any reason to use FSR with those GPUs.
I am also spoiled with a 4090 and the combination of DLSS+FG+DLAA works beautifully.

I wish the 4080 Super could do DLAA in 4K but it just gets a bit sub 60 in some areas with it on... not that DLSS quality is bad or anything but the sharpness is just so *chefs kiss*
