I wanted to loot my boddy back and AI respawned just infront of me and killed me gg this is truly a nice experience
I was doing it with a friend we lost everything, because of the Aimbot AI that just spots you and shots you trough bushes doing matrix moves frustrating not fun at all, if it was not for these bushes easy
Team up with other factions members, these areas are not meant to into solo.
You want the bushes to be bulletproof?
Once AI gets LOS and then lose LOS they will shoot in directions where they think you are or went to.
It's always about the bushes. Don't engage from the grassy knoll unless you can take them down at 500m while they matrix move on you. The Fort itself is surrounded by concrete and concrete is more bulletproof than a bush. There's also at least 10 different entrances into the perimeter with more or less AI depending on where you go. Cull them while they search for you from an easily defendable position. Make them push you when they don't have a line of sight, and stack the bodies up. Bushes are less bulletproof with the patch (which is good for hitting the AI through it now) but if you don't move n shoot they will zero in on where you're shooting from.
It all comes down to the fact AI has a clear LoS which you have not.
Simple comme bonjour, make the LoS of AI be blocked by the things that block your LoS.
I've been behind big trees being shredded to pieces but even leaning didn't let me shoot back since objects in GZ block bullets outside the visual edge of the object.
I've been killed by AI pointing their gun through walls and shooting me on the other side of it.
I've been followed by AI in FN when I entered barracks and then (snuck) inside a room without AI seeing/hearing me enter. They all camped in front of the door where I was, instead of searching the building, they knew 100% where I was.
Devs can say what they want, the above things, except for the tree example, just showcase the AI is firing/handling not only based on LoS or sound, making it impossible to stay invisible inside bushes/buildings etc..
One tap with a silenced weapon should make enemies aware and go out to search in the vicinity of a location, not firing at the exact location from 200m away from the first shot.
The approach is important, it needs gradual steps where the AI is alerted, searches for enemies, and eventually discovers players by LoS or sound.
Making AI jump from 0-100 awareness is basically an ever returning shoot-out where a lot of the possibilities between 0-100 are left without, nl tactical approach which would only benefit the immersion.
Now it's possible to alert the enemy, hide in a place and shoot them one by one.
current AI behavior are placeholders and is going to be overhauled when the day/night update releases. People really need to keep up to date with dev blogs so they know what's being addressed in future updates.
Except AI will been sleeping at night. Like I mentioned, AI behavior is being completely overhauled as the current behavior is just a placeholder.
Even then, devs have already released a video to why AI will shoot through bushes to begin with.
On a side note, the devs should be doing a better job communicating this info. It's not our job to seek out their updates on other platforms.
