Demi god Zane's clone shuffle
Has anyone figured out how to track the real Zane during his shuffle with the clones? Or do you have to interrupt all of them at once? I always get killed when I interrupt one of the Zanes.

I know this fight does not require interrupting the shuffled clones but it is bugging me. What is the player supposed to do during this event?:cozybrawlhalla5:

RUN!

No, seriously. Run away. Heroes do that frequently. When three Zanes appear and he starts doing whatever he does, you go as far as possible. When he finishes his group therapy phase, you can go back in and continue to slap him.

I will not! :cozykcdknight:

Ok seriously. I am not asking for help on beating him. I am trying to figure out what the developers intended to happen when Zane does the clone shuffle thing.

Running away is not necessary. If I do nothing, nothing happens. If I interrupt one of the Zanes it is instant doom. If all three Zanes are channeling energy then if I do nothing an explosion occurs. But it I hit Zane when the three of him are channeling one of them will stop channeling and the explosion will not occur.

Whether it is two or three of them channeling energy if I interrupt one or two of them (at least I tried to interrupt two at once, not sure if it works) I get killed.

So I am wondering if they have to be interrupted simultaneously by different players each. Is it a coop only thing?

The basic idea is that you should let them be and wait at a distance when they zip-zap energy back and forth, and when they start to make an orb in the middle, you go in and interrupt one of them.

I will give that a try.

Ok so I have been trying to get him to make the orb in the middle but he has not yet done it again.:steambored:

I have come across two new animations in this fight.:steamhappy:

Some how after two of them were channeling I hit the one that was not channeling and he was in a flinching stun lock for a couple seconds or so. I was doing some messing around with full changed bashes, Holy Word, and slashing at them before this animation triggered. I have not succeeded in triggering this flinching animation a second time.:steamsad:

The second new animation I found by standing in the middle of the circle before and while they were channeling. A dark wispy flame or whatever appears above my character and is locked to my character, I can run around with it. This dark flame does not seem to do anything. I wonder what it is supposed to indicate.

Any time I interrupt one of the two that is channeling I get killed even with the dark flame.

I think this fight is very bugged as I can't make sense of what the developer's intent was for this battle.:steamfacepalm:

Any ideas?

I found this on youtube. https://youtu.be/4gQbOb86xZU?t=502

I think that is what is always supposed to happen as the shuffle proceeds that way each time in that video.

Just as I have been suspecting the one to interrupt is the real Zane which always starts in the middle ofcourse.

It seems I am triggering a bug or have something bugged in my save file. Almost all the time in my game only two of the Zanes channel energy. On the few occasions I have had all three of them channeling I followed the shuffle, interrupted the real Zane but I was killed anyway.

I have to admit I really admire your steadfastness. :pixus:
I wish I could help you more, but I'm the kinda guy who is happy if he finds a working solution, not necessarily what it was intended. I thought that this channeling move was basically a nuke you have to avoid, so rolling away and waiting out was definitely a solution for me. But as you can see, the guy on the video died trying to interrupt the move, too, and he's quite good. So... yes, I'm fine with my foolproof method. :ermahgerd:
